It was spongey at first, it would be limp halfway down then it would have tension and I could engage it, and it would only come up about 1/4 of the way on its own and I'd have to pick it up with my foot for it to spring back to rest. But eventually it just completely died out and is just sitting on the floor. I'm having it towed and worked on today. Mechanic says it sounds like the slave cylinder and if it is, the tranny won't need to be dropped so it should be a relatively quick and easy fix. Fingers crossed.

I've done some searching here on the site and this issue is not uncommon, not just for 370z but Maximas, Altys, Sentras even... anything Nissan that's manual seems to be prone to this issue.
