Wow! You're on top of this thread! It would have to be an exchange.

Rusty 12-12-2012 04:02 PM

Mike, how you looking right after Christmas? I'm going to send you mine.

Mike 12-12-2012 05:22 PM

I'm not flying the 24-1st, but we will probably be going out of town on a mini vacation for a few of those days.

Reaper42 12-26-2012 04:01 PM

How well do these hold up under heavy track conditions?

Mike 12-26-2012 06:22 PM

I would recommend against powdercoating them for heavy track use. Some cars do fine, but ours just get the brakes way too hot. They will discolor. THe only color that holds up on the track is satin black, because thats what they would eventually become anyway

Mike 01-01-2013 02:42 PM

I have the core set in and available at the moment.

350 coating
30 shipping
650 refundable core charge

Premium members get $50 discount.

**************UPDATE 2/13/13*****************

My phone numbers are changing. My toll free number will still be 888-644-7221, which will ring to my cell phone, which is 678-357-5844. The landline, 678-957-6202 will be taken off line after a month or so transition period.

So, my contact numbers are

678-357-5844 and 888-644-7221. Both ring to the same phone.

*********************************************

MightyBobo 02-13-2013 08:37 AM

Gonna text-bomb the **** out of you, Mike!

On a serious note....why not get Google Voice, which will ring all your normal numbers for free? Because of the toll-free number?

Mike 02-13-2013 08:47 AM

I don't really need a landline anymore. I only use it for the business and incoming calls, so its pretty much a waste of money. The toll free now forwards to my cell phone instead.

Oh, gotcha, so you only have the toll-free line to save peoples money on calling you.

Makes sense :)

Thanks Mike! :tiphat: Candy Red.

Boost_lee 03-05-2013 03:01 AM

I'd like to also vouch for Mike's work. He quoted me a two day turnaround and that's exactly what I got. He was willing to work with me on a quick last minute decision and took care of me without question. Great attention to detail and the finish is superb.

Thanks again Mike, they came out great

Mike 03-05-2013 08:07 AM

glad you like them! thanks!

I do have the core set in stock if anyone is interested.

Mike 05-08-2013 08:06 PM

Brembo Gold, or as close as it can be, now available.

The top photo is natural sunlight and the bottom is the same caliper with a flash indoors next to a real brembo. There is no way to get the larger flake of the factory brembo, but my solution is really close and if they weren't side by side, you wouldn't know the difference.

and next to a real brembo

Its not 100%, but if you didn't have them side by side, I don't think you would know and its a pretty color all on its own anyways.

MightyBobo 05-08-2013 08:48 PM

Mike, as always, nice work.

Also, thanks for the advice - the rear fits just dandy with a little bit of tuck. I'm not even going to bother running a spacer :)

dmhenderson 05-09-2013 08:12 AM

Choose your color from here:

Prismatic Powders

You won't regret it. Mike does the work and turned me on to Prismatic.

seizer8 05-09-2013 07:04 PM

How many do you have now, I bought a set of Infiniti Akebono calipers on Ebay that I want to have done since they will be going on my 370Z.

Mike 05-09-2013 08:37 PM

if you send yours, you get yours back, no real waiting, except I'll be gone at Zdayz next week.

seizer8 05-15-2013 03:08 PM

I took off the hardware., pads etc, except for the pistons and bleeder valves, should I remove the bleeder valves, or do you do that?

Mike 05-15-2013 04:40 PM

I do all of that

Maybe with cooling ducts, but I've gotten my calipers in excess of 600 degrees and it won't hold up to that. I have even melted silicone dust boots, which are designed for that temperature.

I've got a burple, a very dark candy blue, medium candy blue, Carribean blue from the G35, Monterey blue, and others.

Is this a problem for normal street use?

Nope. Only gets that hot on the track.....or if you were pushing the crap out of the car on the street. But that is practically impossible on street pads - your pads will go first, before your calipers will stay that hot lol.

seizer8 05-17-2013 07:05 AM

Okay, cool

seizer8 05-28-2013 05:13 PM

Much better

Mike they look great!

Thanks a million

Rep for you as soon as I find how to do it : )

ZKraken22 06-09-2013 11:25 AM

Hey mike. I haven't gone through the thread so you might have already answered these questions. but What's the turn around? how long would it take to get my calipers back to me? is this a one day job? Also interested in candy lime green with metallic clearcoat with no decal. priced to 66215

Mike 06-10-2013 01:59 PM

2 days if we schedule it. 350 for base members, 300 for premium members, 30 shipping, any color

ZForce 08-13-2013 05:30 PM

Hey Mike, time to pull the trigger. What color(s) would you suggest with a red z ? I am leaning towards a brembo gold with some red in it, just to darken the bright gold brembo uses. Thoughts? Sport Wheels, but will be painting or powder coating them black with a red trim.

Mike 08-13-2013 07:27 PM

My gold doesn't exactly match the brembo gold, it's as close as I can get , but not as brilliant. It would work on red, ask Lou. Remind me Thursday and ill post a pic when I get home friday

ZForce 08-13-2013 08:27 PM

Thanks, will do and I was not looking for an exact match to the brembo gold. Wanted some red or orange in it. Are there any other colors you could recommend to go with a red Z?

I read the thread and saw this link, will check it out also. Prismatic Powders

Can you powder coat some Gen3 tubes? Would want it to color match the car.

Mike 08-14-2013 10:19 AM

https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...95560658_n.jpg
we could add some red pearl to the clearcoat

ZForce 08-18-2013 01:10 AM

Thanks Mike, I am researching color options off the prismacolor link you posted earlier.

I am leaning now towards the Zele orange with a shade of red (pearl).

Can you do the Gen3 CAI tubes?

Mike 08-18-2013 09:40 AM

Yes, I've done
Lots of those

ZForce 08-28-2013 03:35 PM

Mike, ok I am still looking into colors for red Z with sport 19's. I like the one above, and also wanting to switch it up to a yellow with red lettering. Something along the yellow on the european exotics. Thoughts on how this would pair up with the rest of the colors on the car and wheel.

if your gonna ask about what colors work on your car, would help to list out mods and what color your car is? perhaps interior? any accents or future plans for body work?
