actually i think the ac auto amp behind the heater controls triggers the compressor through the ipdm, it manages the pressures and things and sends the idle signal to the ecu. it's hella convoluted. you could actually swap the relay in the ipdm but you need another ipdm to harvest the relay from so hang on to old one incase another relay ever fails.

Very true, that is how the older system used to work. I am unsure on the can-bus systems. The only way to tell is to look at the wiring diagram in a service manual and trace out where it goes.

All of this non since is because the shop that installed it didn't install the Fn pressure switch!!!!

:happydance: :hello:

Glad you got it resolved now!

Wow! At least you found the problem.

ANMVQ 09-04-2014 01:39 PM

WOW But at lease you have AC now. :/

roplusbee 09-04-2014 02:00 PM

OMG, that is great and horrible at the same time. Good news is that your AC should function properly now!

It's ridiculous how cold it is! We moved some coolers around when the radiator went in and now I have to slow my fans down, oil temps are only 160-170 and it's stupid hot out but thats a good problem to have. Hopefully no more heat problems on the track! We will find out Oct 4th.

LOL, I figured it would be something simple. That was a big time oversight.

I took my boosted G to a nissan dealership. They asked if my turbo was a Nismo. I said no and they said they couldnt tough it.

Elmo370z 12-01-2014 08:39 AM

So your not running oil coolers and your temp are only 160-170?

JWillis72 12-01-2014 01:19 PM

No it has a 32 row oil cooler on it. I'm not sure why but the radiator did help my oil temp, I'm thinking its probably flowing air through it better so the oil cooler is getting more air through it. It did very well on the track, it got hot but never to the point I had to let it cool down. I have a Stillen bumper going on it for some more air flow and I don't think I will need any more cooling after that. I took it out yesterday morning and it takes forever to get the oil up to playing temp on a cool day.
