We can most definitely work out an aggressive sponsorship if you plan on making this a goal for yourself utilizing our Twin Turbocharger System. PM me if seriously interested!

Nines would take a dedicated ALL Race effort. The engine can make the power, but VERY few would want to modify the cars to limit street use and be this capable.

I would submit an auto would be paramount. Built auto, of course.

Run before you sprint. I'm still wondering why the quickest 370Z is still almost two seconds slower than the quickest 350Z. I have no business being on the top of this VQ37VHR pyramid (at present), and my G37 wasn't even a lighter Z.

Good challenge. Tens: I want to see that done.

Great question 1slow30 and you are correct - the BorgWarner EFR turbochargers have an integrated boost control solenoid valve (BCSV). The installer will have the ability to configure the wastegate actuators between 5-10 PSI and AAM Competition will offer an optional boost controller which will work in conjunction with the built in BCSV solenoids for those who want to run more boost. The release date for the optional AAM Competition boost controller is mid-November.

Alternatively, for those who are interested in using an aftermarket boost controller or who may already own one, the BorgWarner turbochargers do allow for the use of a boost controllers by simply bypassing the built in BCSV and configuring the boost controller as you would on any turbocharged system.

Again - great question, I'll be adding this to the FAQ or future readers.

Good Job AAM, Finally you did it, I was waiting for that.

Are you guys going to make upgrade component for 7AT since your kit will fit the automatic cars?

Yes we will be making upgraded components for the 7AT in the future.

Bleek 07-21-2014 06:49 PM

I live in MD when I'm home from Korea... Unfortunately I won't be home until November 1st. This seems like the set up I've been waiting for. :(

Time will tell. GLWS !

MyKindaGuise 07-21-2014 07:16 PM

Great looking kit! Really glad to finally see someone using EFR turbos on the Z.

mikey1600 07-21-2014 10:58 PM

damn this came out a few weeks too late to be a RHD test vehicle :P

Wattles 07-22-2014 10:43 PM

Wow, what a good looking kit

That looks amazing! Makes me want to take my G to the strip to see the times. I'm excited to see another kit out there. I just need an upgraded fuel pump and hit the drags with some race fuel!!!

zmanelite 07-22-2014 10:51 PM

Dammit why are you not local to Cali
I would deff throw my car in for R&D :happydance:

Ping me if you need a test car for that kit  Having added power to my last auto and blowing through 3 transmissions till I got that sorted out has me a bit "gun shy".

That's awesome that there will be options for 7AT upgrades. I've been also kicking around the idea of putting in a built GM 4L80 in place of my 7AT.

will you only be drag racing? thats only a 4 speed gear box. wouldnt the 6L80e be a better choice? just a thought lol i mean 4 speed for the track with the right gears would be ridiculous :driving:

well this is all speculation since i dont know if you could even marry a GM tranny and a Nissan engine.

gbrettin 07-29-2014 03:38 PM

I know of a place that can make adapter plates between any model car to gm transmissions. I've been waiting to hear of further developments for the native 7AT before I invest too much time in a conversion.

Edit
I would be DD'ing and getting to the drag sometimes. Heck, I'd like to go to the track at some point.

A 6L80e would be a better option. Again, I need more research.

well as of now your options will most likely be doing a VB upgrade which i figure AAM will be making or FI will most likely have one soon as well.

this should handle low boost and decent TQ numbers without blowing a tranny. *giggity* lol

if you wanna go bigger number you'll most likely need a built 7AT and so far i think GTM is the only company with one if they are still in business.

i'm wexcited to see what AAM comes up with for tranny upgrades! i love the 7AT as is and any improvements may bring my boost demons back out lol

We have filled all of our MT 370Z R & D slots at this time, but are still looking for one AT.

If anybody cancels I will be sure to PM you and make a thread reply asking.

It's unfortunate that I have to turn down interested parties in the R & D, but we will be offering a discounted pre-sale on this forum specifically so for those of you who were unable to participate in the R & D program and are still interested - we WILL take care of you!

Thanks for all the support everyone, the370Z community rocks!

ROBERT1183 08-04-2014 12:19 PM

Oh ok, Can you pm me and let me know what the discounted pre-sale would be as im looking to do this in the next two months.

Dropped the Z off today at AAM to try on her new twins! The wait is going to seem like forever, but I know the outcome will be worth it. I had the pleasure of meeting Max and taking a tour of the shop. She's definitely in good hands!

But will they get the ECU and TCM to work like everything's OEM?
