Yeah I called that number and it said it was disconnected. Anyways sent them an e-mail and they haven't responded. They don't want my money, it'll go elsewhere.

Poor GTM. As a new Z owner I've been lurking the forums trying to figure out which companies were known for doing good work on our cars. Until I read this thread I had GTM at the top of the list. I'm not saying this thread alone has deterred me, but I've noticed much of the praise for GTM products on this forum and others has been from around 2012 and back, maybe earlier. More recently all I seem to see are unhappy owners frustrated with missed delivery dates or worse (such as not receiving their refund when they ask for it).

To be fair, it is hard to tell what exactly is causing these problems. Perhaps the production is simply overloaded. Maybe the management had a situation and had to let part of their workforce go. It is inexcusable, however, not to keep your clientele informed and feeling secure, especially the ones who have already paid you money.

For myself, I am in no hurry to give my car, much less my money, to any company dealing with these problems, whether it turns out to be a misunderstanding or not. If one day it gets sorted and GTM's reputation is repaired, they'll be back on my list... and I truly hope it does. For now, though, excuse me while I call Tony at Fast Intentions...

GTM used to be able to charge a price premium on their parts and labor. This was based on the belief that "you get what you pay for". The turbo group buy was a major departure for them in providing a "value" priced item, which has backfired. A logical move might be to lower prices and offer specials to retain volume, but that may squeeze cash flow even more.

Look MMC, we get it, we all know you are anti GTM because of their failed CARB certified supercharger kit. We understand that you were burned and are very butt hurt over the situation. Everybody knows that GTM screwed up on the group buy situation however, let them TRY to bounce back. If it fails then you can forever be known as "that guy" who was anti GTM since the beginning.

Nobody here is trying to advocate GTM, most of us are just trying to give them a chance to bounce back. I have hope for the company as a whole, if I am wrong, so be it. Ill buy you a case if everything turns out in your favor. I have no hard feelings for anybody.

Cheers,
Ill

Funny as I haven't been "anti GTM since the beginning". I wanted to buy a promised product of theirs for not 1, but 2 vehicles. The "haters gonna hate" crowd is stale and boring.

This thread isn't for people to argue about who is nut swinging and who is not.

My build research started back in late 2009 after I closed the deal on my 2009 NISMO Edition (while I was deployed to Iraq). I spoke with Sam and others at that time (GTM). For what they offered, it just wasn't worth the premium price that they wanted. The only other kit available at the time was Greddy. The Greddy kit had proven numbers and no issues. Of course you had to work your own management and fueling, but that seemed much better to me than the turn-key solutions that GTM provided at the time. For what I did with my build, GTM wanted much more and the parts were (more than likely) going to be rebranded or overpriced in-house pieces. Then they announce a MHI kit........come on man!

/rant

Say what you want, but GTM has never looked good in my eyes. I said it before and I will say it again.......GTM will never get any of my money! If the shoe fits, wear it. If it is black, quacks, and waddles, then it's a duck! Stop trying to defend a company that is not really pioneering anything, but making the claim. Rebranded parts are not pioneering the platform.

/end rant

I'm not here to bash GTM, but I'm not afraid to tell people who are interested in buying my car about what they need to know. Granted, I prefer to sell my car to someone who can continue on with the project knowing that GTM might not be around to support them if they need to get some replacement parts.

The only thing I can think of that's fairly important is the steering knuckle (if it snaps) and the turbo manifolds. My car is doing pretty well as it stands even if it's not running at full potential, but I'll need to figure something out when it's time to drop the engine.

I definitely have complaints about GTM but I don't think they're going bankrupt. For what it's worth I finally got the last piece of my stage 1.5 sc today, and everything looks good, it just took forever to get here. I mean the wait time is unacceptable and the only way to talk to them is calling them, but I feel like its really cause they have way too much work.

I have been to GTM 3 times in the last month to pick up some parts that i ordered. I can say that it definitely seem like they have way to much work for the staff that they have available. From me being there and seeing the place and whats going on it seems like they are just trying to catch up with all the orders that are backed up. I don't get the feeling that they are closing the doors
