Time for some boost! VSR Motorsports Single Turbo Kit
 

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my experience with you all as this will be my first boosted Z. I had a 05 350Z for three years and always dreamed of going turbo now that I have a 370Z I figure the time has come. This won't be my first turbo car as I've had an Evo 8, however, this will be my first car to have some serious power to the wheels 😏. Would love to hear from some of you guys already running this kit or other kits and your experience. I've enjoyed reading through some of your threads.

So, after about a year of having the car and contemplating, I decided to pull the trigger with Bobby @ VSR Motorsports. I'm very excited to see what they have in store for my Z. I've seen and heard nothing but great things coming outta their shop and Bobby seems like an awesome guy just chatting over the phone. Looking forward to flying down and meeting the guys and seeing the shop once it's completed as well as relearning the car on my trip back! I plan on trying to keep everyone updated and doing a review with good videos as the journey progresses.

The carrier transporting my car arrived and picked it up this morning. Hopefully Bobby and his team are able to get things rolling come Monday. I can't express how excited I am to join the boost club! Sorry if I sound like a little kid 😅 I can't help it.

Contact Bobby @ VSR for details his username is SRperformance. I will say it's one of the most affordable options on the market. Numbers should be in the 500+whp range

LOL, I just had my car transported from Tampa to Memphis. I had contemplated letting VSR do a turbo install but decided to live with it NA for a year first.

Anyway I hope the install goes well. Let us know how things go. Did you install any support mods? What is the turnaround time?

Wow that's is crazy! If I had lived there they would've had my car a while ago, haha. The car is completely stock right now. I had wheels and coilovers suspension for a while but went back to stock.

Thanks, I plan on it! Turnaround is about a week once all parts are ready. Which they are just waiting on my car at the moment.

just ship the car to them and let them install every thing you wont be mad trust me ;)

Just spoke to the carrier, looks like the car will be delivered in the morning! About time I swear every trucker is the same promise dates they cannot live up to.. Frustrating. I just want my boost :driving:

I know it will.. That's what I keep reminding myself of, ha! Even though my car is gone it still doesn't seem real yet. But I know as soon as I start getting updates from Bobby it will click and I'll have that feeling of "**** just got real"!

I informed bobby about the delay since he's been waiting on it. Cross your fingers its gets there tomorrow...

Thank you sir! I've been trying to stay in touch with them. I actually got a call from the truck just half an hour ago saying they were 2 hours away and wondered if they could still deliver tonight! So looks like first thing tomorrow for sure! Unless one of the guys wants to go back and receive it lol. I wouldn't expect them to though. Either way we are getting closer to the prize, muhahaha!

The car has arrived. Now my team of mad scientist will transform this car into a F/I beast.....mooowaaaahhhhaaahaaa

Looking forward to this being done, more & more single turbo builds coming out, should be good to see how the 370z handles T v TT.

I'm starting to have withdrawals from the Z lol.. It's gonna be like a reunion when I go pick it up! Gonna put some Swift springs on when I get her back. Hoping I can get an update tomorrow from VSR.. Wanna see some progress! :D

Spoke to Bobby earlier today, said the car should be ready by Tuesday so I booked my flight for next Saturday to go pick her up! Hopefully he will post some progress pics in the meantime.

Just got word from the man himself.. My beast put down 490whp 480wtrq at a conservative 8.5 pounds of boost! I will try to post some pics and the dyno sheet tomorrow when I pick the car up. Stay tuned..

Stock exhaust dyno. I think the boost would have come on a bit sooner if you had a better exhaust.

Thanks Cosmo, yeah I agree. I will be seeking out an exhaust soon. But I'm pretty happy so far! Planning on doing a full review when I get some time I've been busy since I got back Sunday.

What's up guys? Just thought I'd check in a give an update! I've been pretty busy with work and such since I got back from VSR in Tampa. I've got a custom 3" exhaust in the works so we will see how that helps the car with the current tune! It's funny how quiet the car is with stock exhaust.. Almost too quiet until the wastegate opens up haha! I still plan on doing a little review with some vids and stuff in the near future. Other then that the car has been doing well minus some very minor kinks. I'm trying to diagnose why my VVEL is making noise which can be frustrating. All in all I love this kit, I get nothing but compliments when I pop the hood. Well that's it for now hopefully I'll be back soon with a full review!

Finally found a Nissan dealer willing to plug into my car with consult to hopefully get rid of this tick noise I've been hearing. Dealers here are real hesitant to work on any modified vehicles. Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers that this will fix my issue. Sounds like the VVEL is out of sync or off under light throttle/idle. In other news, I got my new exhaust fabbed up and sounding mean. I'll post some pics of it later. Now she can really breathe!

Sounds good, if I'm not mistaken I think it's need to get retune for your new exhaust since it's flowing more air and possible to run a little lean . Anyone can correct me?

Well, it didn't fix the noise. Updated the ECU and basically flashed it to stock but in the process changed the ECM part number. Now I cant reload my tune because it doesnt see the license either on the ECM or my cable. GREAT! Now I'm waiting for help from UpRev but I'm SOL at the moment.

I just read you where going to the dealer :( , . As you know the ECU ID is different now, So the car is stuck at the dealer or did you tow it home? I've been waiting 2 weeks for a cable and a license from them
