Turns out he didn't own vsr. I thought he did too..

Guess the cats out of the bag. Bobby accepted a position with Performance Race Solutions (PRS) outside of Orlando, as Sales Manager. He said it was a good move for him and his family. He will still continue to create his brand of turbo kits and engines over there (VSR was apparently just a brand). He will also be able to stock them for sales instead of only shop installs. I still speak to him regularly and he's still a stand up guy in my book. He sent me my order of Motul which came in yesterday matter of fact!

I wish Bobby all the best. Just wish he would update or let his customers who have ongoing builds that HE put together know who to speak to about their cars, instead of not returning phone calls or even texts, and me having to make a bunch of random calls to find out who knows what's going on with my car. As you can imagine it's incredibly frustrating. I imagine he must have been fairly busy getting readjusted these past two weeks, but i don't think its unreasonable to want to know whats going on with your car when the person you thought was overseeing it isn't around anymore. If he can post a picture on Facebook he can return an email, give a quick phone call or send a text. I'm sure he'll see this, so give me a call Bobby. Jay |
I agree fully Jay. I went through a little bit of that myself. Think everyone did.. Not sure of his reasons but I'm sure he hasn't forgotten about you or any of the other Z cars there even though it may feel that way. I remember when I was down picking up my car he was telling me about the Nismo Z's coming in for turbos. One of those being you I'm sure.
|
There could be legal reasons as a former employee he cannot speak with current customers of VSR.
|
I was the first Z they did and first NISMO in the world...
I think he forgot about me :( |

In one phone call with the GM at vortex I got a large number of my questions answered, a timeline given and even had to fill them in on details that Bobby didn't let them in on about my car after I emailed him and texted him about it a bunch of times. Before I sent him the initial deposit he called me many times to cover stuff about the kit. After that I got no calls unless I called him. Not saying he's a bad guy, but this is business and I don't sugarcoat anything when it comes to customer service. If I put my faith in you, give you my money and let you touch my car you need to understand that communication is vital and there is no excuse to justify leaving a customer in the dark, which is what I feel like. Other than that, I can't wait to get my car back and have some fun with the new power. Edit - sorry midnight for ranting on your thread ! |
I'm still wating

I heard you were waiting because you did not have the money to have your car fixed so lets be honest now.. You paid for the parts and they weren't going to charge anything for the labor. You can't expect people to work when their not getting paid and besides boosting your dailey driver isn't the smartest thing to do because with forced induction **** always happens and you have to be prepared for that..

Are you f@king kidding me ??? Bobby wanted money to cover parts and THAT'S what he got. He's never asked for another dime since so I don't know just where the f@ck you get your info from. And just to get your facts straight I'm paying 25% labor to cover the tech's wages per Bobby, I have an estimate to prove it. If you can't run your gator and tell the truth then STFU !!! |
Yeah the updates were lacking with me also and I got frustrated.. Cosmo can relate to this. In the end though the job was completed. Just had to stay on them. I guess if you want Fast Intentions customer service you're gonna pay for it. Now while I can't relate to your situation with him leaving my best advice would be to stay on him or keep in touch with Bob at Vortex who is a good guy (although biased to Porsches lol).
Infidel when I was down there your car looked pretty much complete. Think you were needing a few small things and tuning... What's the deal? |
Quote:
Talked to Bobby today and got a voice mail from Bob today. They are putting miles on the motor to break it in, should be getting tuned this week. |
I also stopped by the shop when I took a trip to busch gardens and saw both of your cars. I paid in full and had to stay on their asses but finally got my car back and very pleased other than my shitty gtm kit now has a cracked manifold. Man you never should have bought Anything gtm after they screwed all of those people and also since they didn't send you all of the parts needed to complete the install. I'm on your side here but again if you don't pay someone to do the job do you really think they are going to work for free..?
|
Well I can't wait for all of us to have our cars back and enjoying them this summer !

Maybe so but when did you finally come up with All of the money to have your car fixed? Just playing devils advocate here..

Midnight, are you running a stock axle back with your setup?
EDIT- NVM just saw that you're running a single. Have any pics of under the car by any chance ? curious to see how the exhaust hooks up to the piping. |
