Or Bobby's in denial lol

Who was the guy that went to VSR and had their motor blow and made a big thread about it?

COSMO 09-07-2014 05:53 AM

Infidel I believe, but vsr is currently ordering him parts for his motor for a rebuild... Never boost your daily driver, poor guy..

FireDan50 09-07-2014 09:09 AM

I don't know of any 370s with the VSR kit that blew their engine. I try to pay attention and keep track of everyone who does have the VSR single turbo on their 370Z to see how everyone is doing in relation to my own build. I've had the VSR kit on my car for over a year now, since Aug 13. Its been my daily driver, been on several long distance road trips (over 500 miles round trip), dyno'd at 4 different facilities (VSR, Motion Lab, Z1, Soho Motorsports), driven hard and done several 1/4 mile runs on drag radials. My motor is still alive and still seems to be pulling strong with no problems.

Yeah, Infidel was also using the GTM supercharger kit and had an issue with the BPV/BOV I believe. They had a hard time making boost for some reason think it was a leak somewhere. He didn't have the VSR kit though. Poor guy didn't even get to experience the car with power.

VSR should know who their customers are.

They have DEFINITELY had their kit blow up motors

Do you have proof that VSR was directly responsible for damaging/blowing up engines? I could only see them or any other companies kit having DEFINITELY blow up motors if they were directly tuning or working on the car when it blew up. If the owner was not maintaining the vehicle properly, an other party messed up the tune or other parts, or any other reason not in direct relation to VSR should not be held against that company. I just don't like defamation of an entity without proof or evidence. IF there is any out there I would definitely be interested in seeing it so that I can learn as well as everyone else.

I was asked not to share by the owners of the cars who are not on the forum.

The argument was made that NO car with the VSR kit has had a motor blow... Which is 100% horseshit... Read up on the one that's confirmed on the forum. Car catching on fire, yeahhhh... Sure Bobby didn't hear about that... My major issue is the balls Bobby has in making that bullshít statement.

DEpointfive0 09-12-2014 09:31 AM

And cosmo, please share with us your engine build. Tell me how smooth that went before you start backing VSR as if Bobby was your mother that I'm calling a bitch.

FireDan50 09-12-2014 10:31 AM

Not trying to be argumentative but just trying to get everything straight. So the discussion is how many cars with a VSR kit blew or how many Nissans or how many 370s? Even if any car had a VSR kit on it, was it the kit itself (design/install/parts) that caused an engine to blow? Just in my experience it's usually the owner not doing something right (breaking in new engine, wrong fuel/fluids, not properly taking care of any issues and just beating on the car hoping either something well break or the problem will go away). Just trying to have a civil discussion and get the truth for things to benefit myself and others. We all love our cars and want the best for them...referring to them like family members lol. If there was anything bad to say about anything, people should speak out respectfully, I guess, to inform others and to possibly improve a product.

Man those are some harsh words. I did run into some issues with vsr but I kept on their asses to make sure everything was done correctly. It was mainly the small things that they failed to do that bothered me more than anything. I'm now waiting on my steering mounting plate and under tray they did not put back on the car before it was shipped back to me. The tranny dust cover was off and the oil sensor was unplugged. Now matter who you deal with or where you go there will Always be some issues because the nature of what is being done. Trust me if something happens to my new built motor I will be the first to post something up.. TGIF!!!

When you start having lots of blown engines coming out of the same place it begins to point to a common issue, and regardless of kit they all had one thing in common, the tune which as stillen proved can make or break a build.

Just to address this.

My example was meant to be an extreme, not harsh. But you have fought for them in other threads.

And I would LOVE to see a full story on your ups and downs with VSR

COSMO 09-12-2014 11:48 AM

You seem angry but hey it's Friday so have a drink...:tiphat:
