CJM Mini FP Gauge Kit

What we have here is a PnP 0-100psi fuel pressure gauge kit that sits towards the front of your engine (at the front of passenger side valvecover).

http://nebula.wsimg.com/obj/NkJCQ0NF...k0ZGY6Ojo6OjA=

The fitting is available separately for anyone who wants to use it for just adding their fuel pressure sensor for in-cabin gauge. The fitting can be turned around 180 degrees to face a sensor in the other direction.

Please note that installation will require trimming excess material off a local wiring bracket, or removing the bracket.

Very nice Charles. This may just become a part of the BP turbo kit :).

jwick 03-27-2014 11:30 PM

I'm all about this. My GReddy Multi gauge will monitor FP but I've been trying to figure out how and where to connect the pressure sender. Will you be provide installation instructions for the fittings?

Can you PM me a price for just the fitting adapter to install a 1/8NPT pressure sender shipped to 77042?

Nixlimited 03-27-2014 11:33 PM

Interesting. I have been lamenting the fact that I didn't get a two gauge a-pillar pod from Galeforce instead of the single pillar pod I got for AFR. (With 2 I could have added fuel pressure). Maybe something like this would make sense.

Just have Mr. Gale make you a new one. I'm sure you can easily sell the one you already have once you receive the new one. I can't wait to see what he comes up for me.

I will get an ordering link up before Monday. But if anyone is anxious to get going and want's the raw billet finish shipped tomorrow (Friday)... our PayPal addy is sales@cj-motorsports.com, and I can ship some out tomorrow no problem.

Is the gauge 1/8NPT so I can just thread my pressure sender in it's place?

phunk 03-28-2014 12:04 AM

Yup it is tapped 1/8NPT.

Sorry I forgot to answer your question about the instructions.

I will gladly make instructions for this. Due to the simple nature of the product, I would actually enjoy making that! Easy for me, easy for you, and easy on the wallet! I like this new little product already.

I'm sold and I haven't ordered the pressure sender yet so I'll just wait until it's up on the website.

Actually the more I look at this its just a sandwich plate. Install couldn't be easier.

Oh and I like the CJ, nice touch:tiphat:

Interesting. So this could be used in both ways. How about a dual tap for under-hood and remote gauge?

phunk 03-28-2014 12:40 AM

I am not sure if I will make a double tap one or not. It's an idea. Depending on the diameter of the sending unit, it might be possible for me to drill and tap on the angled flats on this one, and get it in next to the gauge. But I would assume if adding a sending unit, you'd probably want it facing backwards.

You could just plumb a tee into it. Run the sender towards the cabin and the local gauge towards the passenger wheel. Not sure how it would work on a Z but definitely looks doable on my G.

Good idea! I have the same gauge waiting to be installed and this looks like it will make things very easy.

Unfortunately GReddy charge a fortune for their sensors!

COSMO 03-28-2014 06:24 AM

Will this small direction of fuel flow slow down the fuel pressure any?

Maybe we can work out a trade... ;)

zguynate 03-28-2014 06:56 AM

I would have so much more money if I never found this forum lol. I keep telling my wife "That's it baby I promise!", then you come along and do this! Depending on what the boss says I may be ordering this lol.

Nixlimited 03-28-2014 08:43 AM

Pics installed?

Chuck33079 03-28-2014 09:17 AM

Yeah, count me in. I'll be sending you some money for one next week.

It won't it hurt anything like that. This is pretty much a spacer that just lifts up the stock fuel inlet one inch. It does not even change the direction of flow. This will have no effect on the fuel pressure curve or fuel flow.

Soon! It's still winter in Chicago so it's hard for me to get anyone to bring their Z out so I can use it for installation photos. I can put it on my car to give an idea of where it sits though. But my car no longer has the stock fuel line that comes into the top of this part. Notice the damper I used in the first picture, that was my inlet hose before I chopped it up!

I'll post something close in a little bit here.

phunk 03-28-2014 10:28 AM

I would like to make sure everyone knows that this kit sandwiches between the fuel line and fuel rail extension tube. If your car already has billet fuel rails, it is unlikely that you still have the 2 bolt flange where this goes. If you have a big return system upgrade, you would not need this as all the aftermarket regulators have fuel pressure test ports on them already. All the CJM fuel systems include a fuel pressure gauge solution already.

So this kit makes a ton of sense for people who did in-tank fuel pump and injector upgrades, but left the fuel system in the engine bay otherwise alone.

Yes they are proud of them but when looking at the whole picture it's still a drop in the bucket. I didn't cheap out on any part of this build. I'm perfectly fine spending more on quality gauges. I want to know if the gauge tells me 40psi FP, then I've got 40psi. Or in the GReddy case whatever the conversion to kPa would be.

Phunk let us know once the website is updated and I'll get mine immediately.

phunk 03-28-2014 12:14 PM

What is the Greddy part number you guys need?

I can check my cost on it.

Alstann 03-28-2014 12:26 PM

Subbed for a linky! I'll be picking up one asap.

Pressure Sensor Set

Multi D/A

1/8PT

Optional Oil or Fuel Press Set

16401921 (Part#)

GReddy

We will need the set which is the sender and the harness extension. Part number and link above. If you can package the deal, I'm all for that.

Chuck33079 03-28-2014 02:10 PM

What colors are available once you start offering anodizing?

I will probably just anodize them black for now so that it can work for everyone. When you start doing colors, people start getting picky. Like if I did blue, nobody would want blue if they had red stuff, and vice versa. But black blends in with just about anything.

This is the origin one I got off of phunk last year. He has refined it. There is no need for the elbow. So....I got the very first one. :D

phunk 03-28-2014 03:11 PM

I was looking at those pics yesterday when drawing the part so that I could make sure and solve it.

zguynate 03-28-2014 03:20 PM

Ill probably be ordering this. I just wont tell the wife about it lol.

O&G 03-28-2014 03:49 PM

CJM ftw as usual! Good job Charles!

UruZai 03-28-2014 04:13 PM

These would make life easy for diagnosing fuel system! Gonna have to pick one up. In for pics installed and anodized

Sold. How soon until you have the anodized ones? Also PM me a price for the adapter (no gauge) and that GReddy pressure sender kit shipped to 77042.

PM him a price for that plus one additional setup (adapter+gauge). Might as well save the shipping and he's doing his build in my garage.

ENT-Z 03-28-2014 09:21 PM

This seems like a great idea. PM price of anodized and non-anodized to 63119 please.

TopgunZ 03-28-2014 10:10 PM

Gdamn genious! :-) Ill take one! No gauge. 80229. PM me...Thanks!

megalapagas 03-29-2014 03:04 AM

Wow, this can definitely come in handy for my nitrous build....hey phunk just out of cutiosity there shouldn't be any problem if the gauge is inside the hood with all that heat will it? Just cutious seeing as summer is around the corner and ttexas heat is horrifying :(

Kojack 03-29-2014 11:33 AM

This shouldn't be any different if it's was to be installed in G37?

No trouble in a G, and should also fit in a HR 350z with the gauge.
