Are you ever in that big of a hurry where you need to shut your car off and walk away immediately after a few hard, full-boost pulls? It's advised to "cool off" any car by idling after running it hard, not just turbocharged cars. Also, as mentioned above, coked bearings are a thing of the past. You have nothing to worry about with modern turbos, with advancements in oil to boot. Here's a thought...how about you refrain from going WOT or running the car to above normal operating temps 2 minutes before you reach your destination? I was under the impression that this was common sense... K...enough about this non-issue. ![]() |
