I loved that hood. But I was not aware of anyone making it. Thought it was a one-off.

i'm going on a guess, but the vis should also have the bolt holes to transfer the 3 latches like my seibon did. The reason why they say hoodpins are a must is prob for liability reasons.

On my seibon Ts hood I did install hood pins but was going too ended up selling it. I tested it at 155mph for a total of about 1-2 hrs total no issues. And 140's also no problem at the track, but I always felt uncomfortable not having the pins on, so when I order the VIS I'll install aerocatch latches or similar.

I have also had no issues with the stock latches on my carbon creations hot wheels hood. I did want to do the aerocatch latches but the problem is the hood is too thick in the location the latches would install so it just wouldn't work. I may try to find some normal hood pins but agree they are an eyesore...

I had mine for 3 years now , Just sold it, I think AK was the first to make it and then people stated copying it. Not sure , But I know I was only the 2nd G with it 3 years ago when I got it ( the other car was their show car).. I do a lot with them and really love their stuff. I'm installing their CF side skirts on my sedan Saturday morning:eekdance: cant wait!!

Do they have a website with product listings, including that hood? How would I go about finding out?

^^More pics please! :yum: Were they able to get a close match to the Black Cherry? What make and model of hood? How are the under hood temps?

The black rose is a perfect match. The car only came out of the shop last night so no data yet on temps. The venting does work though. The hood is from extreme dimensions and is the JP-R model. Full frp

Hmm, does the hood latch look sturdy? I was thinking about cutting into the stock hood with nismo rs vents. Nice to know that they were able to match the paint.

You reuse all your own hardware. Latches same as stock...

ANMVQ 05-16-2014 09:55 AM

like Wheel said you reuse all you stock hardware, I ran that hood on my G37 helped a lot with temps,

Hood down, mounted. Excellent heat release.

^Nice! This is swaying me more and more toward this hood. Do you have any full frontal shots? haha I'm serious, would like to see it straight on too.
