Agreed, those are great numbers. Remember, I have an AT and an HR. 11psi on a VHR is like pushing 13 psi on an HR, which would equal more hp. You know as well as I do Baer that dyno numbers can very greatly. I do know I gained 200 whp from baseline. Please remind us again how much horsepower you were pushing in your old 7AT setup??

I had 480 to the wheels with my old car (7at)500 with meth.

You have Aquamist in your signature line if you are doing 450 on meth @ 10 psi somethings wrong.

And I don't use meth on my Nismo.

Mkai0 09-07-2013 11:26 AM

My meth setup is for safety, not tuned for it (50/50 water/meth). I could easily run a slightly more aggressive tune and squeeze out 30 more horses. My 10psi would be like 8psi for your car (VHR). You do the math here. I can also easily run a smaller pulley to push me to 500whp mark, but the block is not built just yet. We should meet up for a fun run sometime, I think you would be surprised!

I think alott of you guys are going to be surprised when I get my car back on the dyno ,I have some new tunes for my car that I think are going to be pretty good B/C all I have is the 1.5 kit and my tune,John from Z1 thinks I'll be able to get 10-12 RWHP pushing me to 525 RWHP 400 RWTQ:happydance:

What kind of cats were you using when using when you did this 11lb run? Note my compliment from a year ago for how well your old car did as an auto.

The old car had stock cats and it ran well and I got a lot of experience tuning on it and applied what I learned to my Nismo.

I have stock cats on it the Nismo, after I made the 516 I called Sam and told him he said he wasn't surprised ,he said once you find the tune the car likes numbers like that will so up.

We just changed other tables before we started playing with the fuel comp tables, the 255lph pump and the 650 injectors are enough to provide fuel up to 530-540 before you start having serious problems.

Right now Im seeing 10lbs max boost on 88mm pulley 93 Octane since I installed stage1.5 s/c kit. This thread makes me wonder whether to switch to cats or leave the test pipes on before I get the car tuned in 3 weeks.

I might switch back to hfcs that I still have and see if theres any difference.

Baer, do you think I would see more boost with hfc/cats?

You will burn out HFC before stock cats, and Sam told me to use the cats so I did and still have no problems so far.

I am running the 88mm pulley seeing 11-12 lb's depending on temp outside.

I am running the 92mm pulley seeing 11-12 lb's depending on temp outside.

Yeah I'm aware of the HFCs not lasting long. I'm going to install them temporary just to see if any difference. If I see more boost with HFCs then deffinitely will pick up factory cats.

If you get 11-12 lbs of boost with 92mm pulley then I should be getting more than 10lbs with 88mm.
