400whp actually = 488 crank hp assuming 18% loss...but whos counting?

2010 will be good for the 370! By summer we should have at least 2 supercharger kits and ~4 TT kits to choose from!

LOL...Sorry! Didn't mean to disappoint anyone!

I always like to post conservatively. That way when we over deliver...You're much happier with us! LOL

Is it gonna be centrifugal, roots, or twin-screw? Curious about the low-end torque gains more than the peak HP numbers.

Kyle, are we going to have to wait intill May or will we be getting any new info before the year is over?

Josh@STILLEN 12-02-2009 12:25 AM

We should have information before the show in May.. but we always test things before we release information..

Sweet! So you're saying it's good for 450 rwhp?

:excited:

:shakes head:

Alright simplifying my other post and a bit of follow up, I ran on over to performance shop in my area that builds supercharger kits and the news isn't good. Basically it goes something like VVEL and open throttlebodies make it impossiple to mount a rotor style supercharger on our cars (roots-tvs or twinscrew). So my bet is on seeing the Stillen centrifugal supercharger kit come May :( Only way around it is some mad ecu hacks or cable throttle bodies and either way you will lose the effect of vvel reducing the engines pumping losses while cruising.

Kyle, any Idea on a realistic release date on this. There was a post about 9 months ago that said it was coming along nicely  I don't think that is over delivering. http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...html#post41885

I know these things take time to develop, but there is obviously some problems in R&D or it's just not a priority at the moment. Either way, it would be great if you could shed some real light on the development, if it's going to be a Centrifugal or Roots style, and a realistic delivery date. Will it really be in May, or possible for sale sooner?

Yep, that's what I heard too.

Interesting info. Centrifugal superchargers are
still a great option.

1slow370 12-04-2009 09:16 PM

it also explains how they can say it will fit under the hood as well

I'm with you. I really like Stillen's ethics on product development, however, if they keep hiding info, people are going to look at other companies for forced induction.

I think your right here bud!

Josh@STILLEN 12-04-2009 10:41 PM

We'll have information soon.. and part of true R&D is testing testing testing.. ensuring a kit like this is built to the standards of STILLEN and Steve Millen. Not trying to "hide info"..

:)

NewYorkJon34 12-05-2009 01:51 AM

If your not trying to hide info Josh, why can't you just tell us the type of supercharger Stillen is trying to make? That's all alot of us want to know!
