Sorry. It is kind strange with how things went with these kits. There was nothing going on for a while, and all of a sudden 10 people want 6 kits.

It also looks like I will have a busy spring here with a couple of local installs, so I will have to gear up for that.

However, if some of you can wait till mid May, I should be able to make a couple more kits by then...provided everything that is supposed to happen goes as planed.

Wow...seriously? I was thinking an additional qrt for each the spacer and the oil cooler. 7.5ish?

I might need to pick up extra for the build.

Everybody going with change every 3k?

7.5 maybe for the smaller oil cooler.

Boosted Performance 01-31-2014 12:33 AM

The oil cooler, spacer and oil lines do add a good amount of oil to the system. I honesty don't know the exact amount.

jwick 01-31-2014 12:38 AM

Sasha do you ever sleep?

No, it is too cold in my igloo.

I actually just got in...started sorting out all the components for all these kits that need to be shipped out. I will probably end up going over everything about seven more times before boxing it up. A bit on the OCD side.

Will have to stop by and pick up a few more small things tomorrow. All the turbos, BOV's, wastegates, fuel injectors, and exa pumps, few more oil pan spacers...ect were ordered today. These are high $$ items that I don't like to sit on, and they are usually only about two weeks out from the manufacturers.

I still have to fabricate a few down pipes to mate up to the OEM exhaust system since some of your chose to go that route. Other than that everything is built, and ready to go.

jwick 01-31-2014 01:11 AM

I am also CDO (in alphabetical order, like it should be). I have nothing but confidence that my kit and everyone else's will ship as ordered.

GaleForce 01-31-2014 04:22 AM

I was around 7.5l of oil. I have the V.1 oil cooler.

m3chhawk 01-31-2014 08:17 AM

I am at ~7.5L holding steady with the larger cooler.

jwick 01-31-2014 10:42 PM

With all the issues others are having with 'other' kit manufacturers (really just one), I don't understand why people aren't beating down Sasha's door begging for this kit. As a consumer if you are looking for the what you would expect as customer service, Sasha's picture should be next to it on Wikipedia.

Presto 02-01-2014 10:43 AM

Has the fitment been tested/confirned on a g37 6mt yet?

jlo370z 02-01-2014 10:56 AM

bp guys, everyone upgrade there clutch prior to installing the kit? i know its a good idea, what did you put in? did you do flywheel same time?

m3chhawk 02-01-2014 11:01 AM

Southbend Stage 3 daily with OEM flywheel. Installed well before turbo install to ensure break-in.

I wont get that break in period, do to the weather here. should i dyno tune on the stock, then swap out to the clutch and do the break in?

my current stock clutch has 10.5k babied miles on it

I would recommend dynoing with the new clutch with it broken in. Should call up project X to see what they recommend for a clutch. If I had to do it again, I would not go with southbend because of the break in period. 1000 miles to break in...

I did the BP kit install myself then brought it to project X to let them look it over. Then had them put in the new clutch and flywheel.

You probably will experience slipping with the stock clutch at 500whp.

pm me what they charged you for the clutch install.

this was my plan as well. install kit, then take it to them for the clutch/tune

I did it prior.

Southbend stage 3 clutch and lightened flywheel, 24lb i think. I didn't go with the lightest flywheel because I didn't want all the chatter. Also HD CSC and replaced the CMC. The CMC is a must. My car only had 6000 miles on it. The guys that did my clutch didn't bother changing the CMC, it failed before I got home from the shop. I ended up installing it myself and everything has been good since.

Talk to Joe @ Zspeed. His customer service is up there with Sasha's.

I would install the new clutch and flywheel before the turbo install. Then break it in before dyno tuning the car, using the base tune. It's only 800 miles if I recall. Then giver hell on the dyno

jlo370z 02-01-2014 11:45 AM

800 miles, is 3 months for me LOL

How was driving with a stage 3 Clutch on stock Power? Do you think CMC will fail again since it's OEM?

The clutch is slightly stiffer than OEM. Not unbearable, it feels firm, just right. As a matter of fact, I have the RJM clutch pedal assembly in the 'same as factory' setting still. Right now the CMC is the weak link. It will likely be the first thing I check if I have issues in the future.

KaienZ34 02-01-2014 01:19 PM

I hope someone with a 7AT brings you their car so you can also offer this beautiful kit to the auto guys.
