Spark plugs, oil cooler, if you are not getting the turn key, then a basic fuel system upgrade---fuel pump upgrade plus injectors, maybe a clutch and exhaust.

The last two are if you want to try to get the most from these kits without doing an engine build...

Some supporting mods can be a must and some can be held out on but be ready.

Spark Plugs: It was said it can run on stock plugs. But one step colder is your best bet. Helps reduce temps which aids with pre detonation. $160-$180.

Clutch: The kit can push some good number and pending that along with how many miles are on the car now and you have treated so far. The stock can handle a good bit. In due time the day will come. So with a clutch and HD CSC about $1200-$2000.

Oil Cooler: Should already have one if not get it. 34R $700

Others can be radiator, shroud, fans, boost controller, and A/F gauge. Just depends on how serious, how much, and how hard you going to drive. And if you don't already have a good exhaust.

Thanks...looks like I am in decent shape. Subconsciously I've been choosing what seems to be the items needed for boost...

Greddy ti
z1 34 row cooler
Oil temp gauge
Oil pressure gauge
BOOST gauge....

I would add a wideband O2 in there somewhere.

What the heck are these spark plugs that cost up to $180??

HKS one step colder and NGK plugs that are also one step colder. HKS has the advantage. They help reduce temps which helps with pre detonation. Also has something to do with timing.

Thank you. I've been using colder plugs over the years for other FI applications but those have usually been $1-$2 a piece. Just blown away at the price of Z plugs and just wondering if it's necessary to change since they're already in the colder 8 range for a stock (non FI) motor to begin with.

Yea I'm not sure what are plugs are. But the stock plugs still can be ran with this kit. I believe the HKS plugs are GTR plugs also.

But why not have another fail safe along with the ability to adjust boost. I'll run lower boost on street/ track then high boost when someone needs to be taught a lesson.
Gotcha. Yeah this is why many prefer external waste gates I suppose.

Is there any reason the HKS electronic boost controller like the evc 6 will NOT work with this internal wastegates?

I want to be able to adjust between 8-11psi.

Sam / Mike will work something out with the external wastegate kit - that's what I pre-ordered. I ordered it in the turn-key setup...along with a few extra special goodies.

Just waiting on final price and ship date!
