You should be good to go as far the tuning aspect of things. There is an N/A 370z guy here in San Antonio who swears by Ecutek, and makes at least 320whp with it. I think some people were concerned about boost control, map switching, and a few other things that may not be ready just yet for the VQ platform. Who did you have in mind to tune your Ecutek?

There's also Dynotronics out of New Braunfels north of San Antonio. That's who's running the group buy here.

I called any one have a round number of hours it will take to install the kit? It's $110 an hour for labor there.

Cost of a good quality install will run between $1800-$2000. You can add $350-600 on top of that for tuning. I'll pm you a shop here in SA that has done several top notch GTM turbo builds. The tuner, George,at this shop has not tuned with Ecutek yet, but he is seriously considering adding it to his list of many tuning options he has available. When he does get his hands on it, IMHO he would be your go to guy.

I went with EcuTEK as well. I'm going to be working with a very reputable tuner down in South Florida. He's tuned all sorts of cars, and every single one I see is done so well and reliable. He also swears by EcuTEK.

Who are you going to use for tuning?

Seriously.
I called Sam last week and he said he would have the final schedule out the last friday that passed. I've been patiently waiting, but it's hard to expect things and then have the expectations broken again and again.

I'll hopefully be working with Kenny@Turbogixxer Tuning. You can find his stuff on facebook. He's a really cool guy, very knowledgeable and intuitive. He tuned my buddy's turbo'd Kia Forte on Haltech, another friend's all-motor high compression Civic, as well as plenty of Honda's, 6 cyl cars, and street bikes. One thing I really vouch for is his sense of professionalism and the ease of talking to him.

He just finished purchasing the full suite of RaceROM software for the EcuTEK stuff, and he's very looking forward to that market. I talked to him about this particular setup, and besides working with the experimental VVEL and Boost control which are in development, I think we will be able to get the car running awesome.

Me too buddy. At least you still have your car in the meantime. I may be correcting that issue soon.
