Spend a little bit. Get a whole lot. Do it.

I didn't realize there was going to be so much action at Zdayz. I'd like to see the kit in action so I better make some plans to join in on the festivities.

They have flex fuel setups you can get for your 370. I almost put one in my 350
|
Who offers a flex fuel setup for the 370?
|
:icon18: The GTR guys were raving about this at the C&C meet in Vegas!
|
This is what I almost got for my 350.
Flex Fuel Sensor Explained | Haltech - Engine Management Systems and here is something you could get to work. GM Flex Fuel Sensor Ethanol content analyzer |
Yeah the problem is, unless you go with a full replacement EMS, you cant make use of it.
ECUTek is supposedly working on it, but I expect it will be quite some time before that makes it to market. |
I was talking to a gtr owner this past weekend about ecutek. I was told they have the flex fuel capability. Hopefully all the gtr stuff makes it to ecutek for our z's.
Edit: just saw this was mentioned by hotrodz. |
To all regarding "Flex Fuel" capability for the 370Z:
I will have Sebastian@ SpecialtyZ chime on on this subject. He can clarify as to where EcuTek is in terms of the option for the 370Z as well as explain ability to running both 91/93 and E85. Stay tuned... Thanks, Tony |

New gopro is here and its raining like hell, second time this winter its rained in my area....so fun videos to come. I do have an idle video in the For Sale section, but wheres the fun in that.
After my 2 week checkup: *no issues, no leaks, oil, coolant, car starts right up, temperatures NEVER creep, Fast Intentions, Sepecialty Z and CJM did a hell of a job on these components, not to mention they all back their product with service and pride *ran all 3 tunes and set points(boost levels+sensitivity), all work as planned, high boost is too scary on cold tires...literally $hitmypantstastic, all are perfect, start, stop, go, smooth, I literally daily drove the car the past few days, aside from being insanely fast, it it absolutely daily driveable, I just may get a ticket someday doing so *e85 is amazing, aside from being super safe and effective, it burns so clean, my tips are just clean from about 1k miles of driving *the car is getting better with age: one major thing is the specialty z clutch...WOW what an amazing job, this clutch is now dead silent and smooooth, it also has no problem holding this power *everything is still absolutely and totally perfect, had the car up in the air again and perfect, clearance, alignment, no leaks, all good The bad part: as formidable as the re-11s are when they are warm, they just cant take it. Breaking loose in third gear from 4k on wont cut it. Going a different route and trying some NT05r's on suggestion from the local TT vette guys. 305/35/19's(I CANT STAND TO LOOK AT THE CAR ON 18'S OMFG), sadly, they wont work with my wheel setup, but a sponsor on the forums set me up with an amazing deal! No, this wont fix all my traction woes, but it's a step. Also zero camber will be possible on this setup, with 305/35s and 19"s? hell yes! Car is perfect. I am pretty sure the other owners here are quiet because they are enjoying their cars too much(nklear is preobably in jail for doing 200mpph in nevada or something) . Tony calls me bout once a week to chat about the kit, take in feedback and offer advice. We share what me and the other owners are finding about the kit.....needless to say we are all having a great time and the kit is perfection! I have my review done, but want to take some vids beforehand, will also do my build thread, like the other cool dudes before me. Happy boosting the370z! |

how is the fuel economy on e85 compared to 91/93 octane fuel? |

I'm going 18s with wider tires for sure. R888 is gonna be my first set.

I just did not want to do 18's just yet. I do have a set of 18s laying around, 11 in the rear, that I can try other things with, but I wanted to give 19's a shot.
Going to try out some 305/35/ nt05r's out back and see how it goes. I have always been ushered to use them on the gt500, just never got around to doing it as i was more than happy with the et street 2 in the same size. But the local 1000+hp TT vette guys have been all about the nt05, so I figured why not, claiming much better 60s while being able to pour in +8-15psi and really get the mph higher. I usually dont like the brand, but i bit. *I get to keep a fancy 19" wheel for daily/street *This DR actually performs at higher psi than comparable(et street 2), allowing me to maintain a "tighter" feel and get into some turns on the street *1" taller tire is a baby step towards taller gearing, why not? I have some enkei 18 inchers, may just throw them on for my 1-3x a year tracking day, but tracking this car at this power is pretty pointless, at least with my lack of investment into major suspension goodies. |
I have 19s RP03 on my car right now, but I want to get the rs05rr which only comes in 18s. from what I read on this forum, r888 gets the most votes so far for stickiness, but they don't last as long.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk |
Love love love rs05rr. I was so closer to picking them up.
R888 is money. But in 19s very pricey for the short life. Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk |
I personally found R888s to last either the same or longer than RE11 due to my driving style. With the RE11s constantly spinning, they dont last long at all! While the R888s dont eliminate wheel spin, they dont spin nearly as easily.
|
Haha. Always true.

Tony, I don't need to continue my warranty with nissan anymore, right? I don't think they are gonna wanna warrant my car after the tt. Lol
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk |
Definitely not for any drivetrain parts, should they break!
|
If you feel like being crafty, never let them see the car. If something fails, swap to stock and pray it works. It's your only shot really and it's not a very good one.
Warranty won't pay for a built engine anyways, so screw it! |
Or the hours to uninstall and reinstall the kit. Oh the risks to having the best kit on the market that makes too much power :D what to do, what to do
|
I sure as hell am not complaining. Now, if only the body shop would hurry the **** up with my door handle paint match!
|
What, it's not enough that your rims match? :D (sorry for the off topic)

9 gallons in 149 miles, so about 16-17 mpg, with mixed driving and a good amount of tomfoolery. Highway patrol is pretty heavy during my commute, so i keep it a sane 70mph...also my 8500 x50 took a dump so I am nekkid. WIth my new tires, a better detector and a different commute, I believe I can get this sucker down to 9mpg!. I fill up once a week, if that, it cost about 2.89 at the moment for e85 in my neighborhood(aren't i lucky!) and 3.89 for premium. So I am at a wash when I drive like a total vag....the car can eat some gas tho, lol. Once you do some nasty 0-iwontsaybecauseillegal pulls, the dots start to disappear, but totally worth it! |
I have posted this before, in this thread and others have suggested otherwise, but fork up the dough for the Valentine One. It won't be a waste of cash. Saved me at least two tickets since October. Already more than paid for itself. You don't need a TT kit to drive fast, you just get there much, much, much quicker! That detector has never let me down...knock on wood.
|
Btw, FU, respectfully...with your 3.89 for premium. I just paid 4.16. Not fun with how I like to drive. LOL
|
Yeah but the V1 will go off like every 5 secs....i want it so bad, but really want a GPS with autolearn. thinking 9500ix of max, or V1....
The cost is the same really, so I am definetly in consideration. Socal gas sucks, even the e85 in sylmar was like 3.25 i was like WTF... Tony, I am going to have to give you a call, I might want to take on our next project sooner than I thought, recently inspired! Haha! God I love this car...this kit just perfectly addresses every need on the z. |
I have the 9500 I couldn't be haplier with it. Along with the autolearn, when it goes off it tells you how fast you are going. Really puckers your butthole when you look up and it says 117...not that I would actually know from experience
