^^^^thats good to know... That link is to a car with 272 cams which kinda skews it, but is goodmto see for comparison. Do you have any dyno graphs of stg 3 VHR motor?

midrange was laying out nice but up high was def suffering. Once Cliff gets the exhuast he is waiting on I am confident everything will lay out like it should

Thanks for the quick reply

daisuke149 11-04-2012 06:45 PM

Yo Squeeze, if you head up to R/T between monday evening and wednesday night, LMK. I work in Lansdale during those days.

SharpByCoop 11-05-2012 07:27 AM

Yikes! That sounded powerful. What a ride.

Nicely done.

Thanks to Vince for tuning this beast on pump gas 93 octane. For next year I am looking to swap to the bigger housings and go E85.

I just love the way the car drives and the Fast Intentions 3 inch exhaust really helped the car out big time.

I do plan on putting everything about the car in the members gallery one of these days.

Nixlimited 11-07-2012 03:53 PM

Very impressive. Love the look of those graphs. Good boost control too. Are you using HKS?

Yes I have the HKS EVC S boost controller.

fuct 11-07-2012 04:47 PM

SICK MAN! how many pounds are you running on a day to day basis, ie. which one do you feel safest using?

Low Boost 14 PSI is more than enough in this cold North east weather right now.

elperuano 11-07-2012 06:15 PM

Congrats man, that exhaust really opened up the ponies! I hope to follow this path one day!

You have probably answered this already, but are you using custom gauges, and if so what kind? I have been looking at Defi Racer (because I think 52mm is what fits best) and the PLX gauges. Just noticed the newer PLX do not have the outer ring of LEDs, which is kind of a bummer.

Edit: sorry, just saw the gauges on the first page of the thread. Any advice on install in factory location?

I have a few pictures that I took during the process that I will put up once I make my thread in the members gallery. I will say this much you need a dremel to make the Def'si fit, I also used black black silicone for a tight fit.

Cool. Did you use the Defi Racer gauges?

Where did you tap oil temp and pressure? I am getting ready to do a radiator swap and to add an oil cooler and I am trying to plan out the system and connections. Do any sandwich plate adapters include ports for those?

Blaizon 11-08-2012 11:33 AM

Sick looking graphs Cliff! I can't imagine how the car feels now...once I get my twins I can't wait to run you to see how bad of a whoopin you put on me ;)

elperuano 11-08-2012 12:30 PM

^lol his low boost setting is higher than my max but the numbers respond with what I'm runnin on 12 lbs (the only setting I use lol). Too bad ur not In south Florida I'd love to see this machine! How long was the downtime when u went with the built motor?

The engine was built last year took 3-4 month's for it to get built, I had to wait for my custom piston's that took 8 weeks to come during that time also.

Forgive me if this has been asked before... think you can fatten up the torque curve a bit around 3-4k and 5.5-7k?

It has to do with back pressure from having the smaller .64 A/R housings and log style manifolds that use T25 housings. GTM has new style manifolds that accept the T25 plus style turbine housings that I plan to get once there out ,and move up to .82 A/R there suppose to flow like a T3.

Here are some pictures of the .64 A/R T25 that I have now vs the .63 A/R T25 plus turbo housings. You can see clearly that the T25 plus will allow more flow.

Soon man it's getting warm out now up here in the North East I have new rims and tires going on Friday. I will be making another video soon after that ,and will be posting it up.

Looking forward to seeing you beat that Porsche one day ;)

Other than that, I'm craving for more power and response as well.

Hmm,

Looking at these housing side by side is really tempting...

Will give Mike a call tonight for more details thanks for sharing
