Right now I just had to walk away from the car. I don't know what else to do with the vehicle, no smoke was coming out. Now I am thinking about what to do, it's looking like just pulling the motor out and having it built.

One_Quick_Z 05-12-2012 03:52 PM

Really?! This motor had to have a fault already in it, because it would be very hard to believe you did this while just using a 100 shot unless the car was very very lean.

That is an assumption we are wondering. Hard to believe that this happened.

tanamerra 05-12-2012 06:57 PM

Feel for you man. Hope it is something minor and not a major deal. Keep us posted.

V8Killer 05-12-2012 07:03 PM

I'm getting ready to deploy and well since we have to pull the motor out anyway I just may have it built.

I very sad to hear this bro. I can only imagine how upset you are!

Ya pretty pissed now I'm just gonna beef the motor up.

Compdoc777 05-12-2012 10:25 PM

Yeah those spark plugs looked bad. The parts that blew off probably bent and damaged the valves and a valve seals along with the pistons. Motor rebuild time or just head work you never know.

Neo187H 05-12-2012 10:35 PM

Sucks man, sorry to hear. Any idea who you're going to have rebuild the motor? I'd have to throw in a suggestion for Motion Lab, especially considering you've already delt with thrm.

V8Killer 05-12-2012 10:38 PM

I'm gonna talk to them on Monday, not sure if they are ready for this but we will see.

RyanWest 05-13-2012 04:45 PM

damn dude. cant see how a 100 shot screwed it up that bad unless parts of the plugs got launched into the motor. sorry man :(

corbin09 05-14-2012 08:48 AM

Please let us know what happened when you figure it out OP.. A lot of us were going for you!

Nissan370 05-21-2012 07:18 AM

Some motors just don't like nitrous and I wonder if the way the cams work in our car has something to do with it or do we just have motors out there with flaws I am having my motor rebuild after I lost compression in 2 pistons doing a baseline run with my stillen kit and my a/f was dead on

2011 Nismo#91 05-21-2012 09:14 AM

That's terrible, it looks as if you did everything right, just seems to be bad luck. Well look at it this way you going to have a hell of a nice motor when its built.

cc370z 05-21-2012 09:26 AM

I'm really interested in what the outcome is for the OP. I was really thinking that I was going to go the nitrous route. it could be something with our motors... I know a couple of guys that have run nitrous on their 350z and g35 for years with no problems.
