Roger that! Calling the shop to change appt. to Wednesday. Then let the games begin.

MnTBlitz 04-16-2012 05:06 PM

I had a couple questions... Was just wondering about how many sprays would you get out of a full bottle and how much does it cost to get it refilled? Would it have been possible to take the spare tire out and mount it somehow in its spot? That way you could hide the bottle.

Jordo! 04-16-2012 05:15 PM

Looks good, but I would seriously consider a tune specifically for when you spray.

Yes, colder plugs are a good idea, but keep in mind just how lean it will run when spraying... i would consider adding Osiris so at the push of a button (the cruise control, actually) you know for certain you are running correct timing and adding enough fuel when spraying.

chuckd05 04-16-2012 06:22 PM

Nice. In for results. Now u def need the radials I sold you.

Well it depends if the people who fill it up do it right. For a 10lb bottle it will be at least 10 passes. Yes you could remove the spare and sub if you have it and place it there I chose not to. In my area it's about 30-40 bucks depending where you go.

A tune is what I will be doing on Wednesday and I will be doing 2 maps one on the bottle and one N/A.

Hey how is your build going?

V8Killer 04-17-2012 11:39 AM

To all the guys spraying, we are tryin to see if the window switch is working, would it be okay to do 100 shot one time to see if everything is working?

chrischhorn 04-17-2012 12:04 PM

You are better off waiting. If you do it now and and run super lean............BOOM! Very bad detonation and could lead to cylinder damage, piston damage, valve damage and head damage.........I blew a whole straight through the piston on my old integra cause hit fuel cut and detonated :-(

BAHUMAT2JZ 04-17-2012 01:00 PM

Did you install a wideband? Try it with the 75 shot first. You can set your window switch to activate at like 5000- 5500rpm to check if everything is working right.

We are good to go tried it on 100 and she ripped. One of the wires needed to be reconnected, when we crimped the wire from the zex box it slid down away from the other wire. Still on track for the tune tomorrow.

shouldn't you be soldiering these connections? Id figure being as safe as possible and minimizing the little risks would be a number one priority on any N2O setup.....

but then again i also thought the piece of wood used to mount the tank in the previous pics was ghetto...

We have a rubber sleeve over it, the actual connector it's not sitting there with electrical tape.

Hey man I haven't seen an update from your thread how is your build going.

BAHUMAT2JZ 04-17-2012 02:24 PM

I must agree the car feels so good with 100 shot :).

valpozguy 04-18-2012 08:45 AM

I'm really anxious to see the #'s on this. My z will be done in a couple of weeks and will be getting a UpRev tune as soon as its finished. I will be running a Autometer Ultra-Lite Series Full Sweep Electric Gauges

100 shot with window switch. Looks great BTW!

chrischhorn 04-18-2012 11:01 AM

Any other mods done so far?

V8Killer 04-18-2012 11:10 AM

What mods? Full bolt on's.

V8Killer 04-18-2012 04:01 PM

Anybody with the zex kit hit me up we are having issues

corbin09 04-18-2012 04:09 PM

What issue are you running into?

V8Killer 04-18-2012 04:14 PM

The kit just all of a sudden stopped spraying.

V8Killer 04-18-2012 04:41 PM

Bad box fml

corbin09 04-18-2012 05:05 PM

Are they going to send you a new one? Do you have a picture of what is not working? I was going to offer solenoid or bottle pressure. Sounds like you have it under control though.

scarface364 04-18-2012 06:02 PM

I was with v8 killer today were on the way back and we couldn't get a consistent pull on the nitrous. It activated for only a couple seconds in the pull then stopped spraying nitrous. Now however it will not Sprat at all so he never got a good pull at all. Not sure if its the box or something else?

valpozguy 04-18-2012 08:49 PM

Wow I hope you guys figure this out ASAP! Better to stop spraying the to keep spraying I guess! LOL.
I'm not sure if the mod question was for me but here's what I got. Aem cold air intakes, Motordyne shockwave 2 exhaust and fast intentions resonated test pipes. It's a full zex kit, window switch, bottle heather, remote opener ect. To keep an eye on what's going on I will be using the autometer digital nitrous gauge and aem's wifi egts and wide band. This thing is cool, you should check it out. It reads in real time from any smart phone or laptop. And you can also data log with it too.

Check the "NMU" by going back to the step on how you program it. Where you manually open the throttle valve to get the tps reading. Manually move the throttle valve and see if you hear a click from the NMU. That way you can see if it's a bad NMU or window switch. Hopefully you just had a bad NMU and they should replace it with no problems.:tiphat:

I called Zex and they aren't really much help on this whole situation. After talking to them they said it could be the filter that leads from the nitrous to the box or it's a bad box. They will replace it however if it is the box.
