Am I the first one who will be receiving the kit?
This is such a perfect gift for my baby's 2nd birthday (even though it is late by a month, so I need to make up for it! lol)

elperuano 10-05-2012 04:17 PM

The graph says 12lbs of boost. Made more power at 9 than 12?

G37sHKS 10-05-2012 04:19 PM

Woow!! now look at that flat torque!

Might sell my GTM TT and get this!!

elperuano 10-05-2012 04:38 PM

The flat torque is nice, however for entertainment purposes it's at 411. With my Gtm TT kit on my graph the lowest point is around 411. But the highest point is 496. I'm still very happy with what I have.

What is the additional cost for recirculated wastgates or is this now standard?
Also, high flow cat option?

Recirculating is standard, and no high flow cat options at the moment.

Got it, thank you. Yes you are the first to send in a deposit.

At peak power of 550whp, the boost was 9psi, not 12psi.

As mentioned before, torque is a function of timing. The more agressive the timing, the more torque the engine will put down. I can provide countless dyno graphs to support this.

I have noticed that GTM dyno charts are very aggressive early in the rpm range. You can tell that by the way the torque goes up out of the gates, again, early in the RPM range. A lot of tuners will avoid this on stock blocks because it is a lot of stress on the engine. If you look at the 550whp chart you can see that the boost is already at 10psi by 3750rpm, so if the timing was advanced the torque would have shot way up in the 400's. Then as the RPM's go up, the torque would taper off. Instead, a nice smooth, flat torque curve is simply easier on the engine, prolonging it's life.

EDIT:

Here is a perfect example of the same kit with a different tuner:

http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29246

Note the torque curve between 3500 and 4500rpm...easing into it. I

I am not arguing your numbers at all, or the kit it performs great. Just noting how timing/tuner have a large role to play when it comes to presenting the final graph/numbers.

Very nice Sasha, I been a fan/follower from over on my350. Was just playing with the poster, tried to add for entertainment purpose only lol. Not trying to attack you or anything at all.

The kit looks great, great design. I can't wait to see one of these rolling around Miami. Would be fun :) good luck with everything moving forward. You're gonna be very very busy it seems!

Thank you, and I did not take it as an attack...it gave me the opportunity to elaborate a bit on the tuning aspect of things. I edited my post to support the satement, with a second party dyno chart.

I should also mention that I am working with Tony at F.I to make the purchase of the F.I exhaust system possible with the kit.

There would be a non resonated option with the turbo kit, as well as a resonated.

With the turbo acting like a large muffler, some of you may not like the dead silent 500whp car. With the resonators removed, the tone would most definetly be more agressive.

What a great product you have there Shaha, flat TQ line..nice !!..why oh why i bought 7AT Z.

Mr.Squeeze 10-06-2012 07:50 AM

That 550WHP pull is really nice graph even though it starts off at 12 psi then fall's off up top to 9 psi. To me it looks like the boost controller is just not holding boost that really is a nice graph though.

I really cant wait to see more people out there with this kit on a 370z

I am also looking forward to seeing the 76mm built motor 350z you have out there in action that is getting real close.

If the kit only preserved the crash beam... That's a non-starter for me. Awesome results though. Nice for the community to have options.

ENT-Z 10-06-2012 10:35 AM

Is losing the crash beam really that big of a deal? Doesn't the FMIC kind of replace it? I haven't examined the beam that closely, but isn't it just hollow aluminum?

No, yes, and yes.

There is a lot of aluminium replacing the crash bar:

The brackets are 304 stainless, not aluminium, so much stronger than average:
