The axles are not the strongest but they can do it. Its not a bad idea to keep a spare set around. The axle clicking has nothing to do with power, most stock Z's do it. My 350z and 370z both did since brand new. Just launch careful and you will get some life out of the axles... preload them nicely and dont just plain drop the clutch.
