No. Gearing like that helps but isn't needed for that power... There are faster cars with more aggressive gearing. 430rwhp can hook in a Z all day with no drama unless your setup wack

Speaking of, how are the OEM VLSD's holding up to a TT setup? I have heard that if you work the OEM diff hard, the oils degrade in the center unit and it quits working. Yet I see a lot of people with SC/TT in their SIG and no diff swap.

Not that many guys with a SC/TT setup pushing their car to the limit. I would say there have been maybe 3-4 with a 370z who have pushed it. A lot of guys do some heavy street driving, canyon carving, but getting on the track is a whole different game with heat/limits.
