GTM SC stage II price

Since the price is now on the website at 7700 does that mean the kit is ready to ship? I thought I had a little bit longer to get it at the 6500 price. I still haven't seen the official press release. Now the stage two is the same price as the stage one turbo kit. I was going to get the stage two but now I'm back to the drawing board..

XwChriswX 09-04-2011 02:56 AM

I know, right? :ugh2: The Stage 2 press release was slated to be sometime in August, but well... August came... and August went, still no press release.

But I think the issues some people are having are having to force GTM to hold off on the release until the kinks can get worked out.

**Not with the kit itself, but with the [7AT] transmission being able to hold the power**

shumby 09-04-2011 03:47 AM

On the 7 AT issue. Sam has my trans and told me he would have a release in 2-3 weeks.

Flyboy 09-04-2011 09:26 AM

My issue is the sudden price change. I wanted to stage II SC. But now that it's the price of the turbo. I have 6500 set aside to buy it but I wanted to wait till closer to release so I wouldn't have to give up my money and wait 6 months for a product.

That price was only for a short time, it looks like you missed out on it. :ugh2:

darron 09-04-2011 01:23 PM

ummm yea if the stage2 is same as the tt kit forget that....y drop the same$ on lower fuel mileage less tq and overall less room for growth and yea its better than the stage1sc but mehh i guess tt is just the way to be.

Jamaica 09-04-2011 01:34 PM

Both tt and supercharger have there pros and cons

SAM@GTM 09-04-2011 02:23 PM

Is this an S/C only related problem, I thought some TT guys had the same problem right? It's just the TQ in general is too much right?

Very exiting stuff is coming up,We were able to improve every single gear in transmission, It was not easy and Nissan been tight lip about the 7AT trans did not make it any easier,

But we did it .

:happydance:

If you have an AT and want to go SC/TT, and order the tranny upgrades at the same time, will there be a slight discount?? :rofl2:

Sam, I need to call you one of these day's. I'm taking a vacation in socal the end of the year and thinking about bringing my car back down to you to look at depending on what your schedule looks like first.

Moneylu 09-04-2011 02:47 PM

Does the stage 2 SC kit come with an oil cooler? And what's the typical HP/tq one the turn key unit with stock internals? Thanks, sorry for noob quest...

In my case there wasn't enough fluid in the tranny and the lines were relocated and were leaking. Leak was fixed but fluid wasn't added causing my tranny to go out. Tranny cooler ad valvebody would be very critical for forced induction automatic cars.

I bet. But you did get some impressive numbers beforehand. How much of an improvement was the meth injection? Is that a separate kit I'm assuming? Did you also go with the traction control or no?

" Sam how is the shipping on my stage 2 coming "

winter is coming quicly up here, going to snow soon !.

yes folks we are going to the Ontario Z Drag day again with the N/A set up again.
Great SC, dilivery dates are terrible.

" doctor zacory smith from Lost in Space, " " Oh the pain, the pain of waiting "

Z

Z eliminator 09-04-2011 02:58 PM

What fool relocated your lines with out topping up your tranney fluid especially if you have a cooler on it. leak ? and no top up. up here a tranney cost 9000.00 fluid is 16.50 a litre !
So you took out your tranney ?
If you even detect a shift problem you aways chech the fluid. and its a major pain to fill it. Could take 2 or 3 times to get it full. Trust me i know all about getting it full after i changed the converter. The nissan dealer has no idea how to fill if he uses the nissan factory procedure. You also have to have the traney temp at the right temp as you fill it.

they shift like crap when there low especially from 4th to 5th.

shumby 09-04-2011 03:07 PM

so elim my 6.5 psi sc'd G still faster then your slow a$$ N/A Z!!!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Z eliminator 09-04-2011 03:18 PM

unless you post a time slip faster that 12.42 your slower than me. My car is quick as hell just ask the guy with the ZR1 vette.
I had him by 2 ft at the 1/8 mile.before he went by me. The 4.08 gears make me way faster than your SC.

Z

prescott3656 09-04-2011 04:49 PM

4.08 > SC ? Guess I would have to see it

gbrettin 09-04-2011 05:22 PM

How much was the 4.08 gearing upgrade?

Z eliminator 09-04-2011 05:41 PM

I bought the diff from a nisan mechanic that he built for his g 35 it cost me 1000.00 for the diff.

If you're able to get one at a good price, is the install literally as simple as unbolt the driveshaft, unbolt the axels, swap units, rebolt everything? Or is there more to it then that?

I'd like to do this to make the 7AT have some more balls...

Or would it be better sticking to something less aggressive, say a MT diff instead which is at 3.69 or 3.99 right??

shumby 09-04-2011 05:45 PM

shumby > z elim

B.A.Q 09-04-2011 06:36 PM

What about MT, any upgrades or can it just handle the torque? and how much torque would you assume the axels will handle?

Lol, Shumby is back and Shumby's boy RCZ is leaving.

We need to get one of those upgraded transmissions out to Houston. Cant wait to hear more.

Mr&Mrs 09-05-2011 12:24 AM

Im just afraid of the cost of these upgrades. Looks like I may have to wait even longer to go F.I, or trade this car for an MT lol.

Shumby vs Z Eliminator

Sam at GTM would be very disapionted with your car after i kicked your ____ at the drag strip.
You have no idea how fast my car is.
It has every N/A mod on it and its very light ( 3352 lbs with me in it.
and its has skinney tire and 305 35 18 drag tire, with a gtm converter in it .
racingbrake 2 piece lighted brake roter's
and I can drive it like i stole it in the 1/4 mile.
Your G weights a ton more than mine.
all you have on me is may be 65 rwhp,
Would not be much of a race as im looking at 12.3's soon.
Sam would be very dissapionted with you.

Z eliminator

shumby 09-05-2011 03:58 PM

BUT MY WIFE IS HOTTER!

LOL
ya z elim I know you would take me.
But if it was not for me Sam would not have a trans to be workign on right now for us. So PLZ everyone send me $5 via pay pal.

It will be interesting to see what the price tag on the trans upgrade will be.

quicksilver08 09-05-2011 03:58 PM

One thing I learned a long time ago, no matter how fast you think you are, there's always someone faster.

shumby 09-05-2011 04:30 PM

there are pics of here in the G on here somewhere

Z eliminator 09-06-2011 07:41 AM

There is a faster N/A car than mine Jnauts car runs 12.24 on street tires . His a 6 MT.
About the tranny Mine shifts in .3 to .34 of a second in the 1st 4 gears. I data loged it going down the track. The shift to 5th takes .61.
If your wife drove the car in the 1/ 4 mile i would let her win.
