Default Starting problem after stillen supercharger install

Hello,

Has anyone experienced any starting problems after having installed their Stillen Supercharger? I experienced the myriad of strange ocurrences. The first time it happened I pushed the start/stop button and the engine attempted to start but didn't. It started the second time but then it happened a few more time each time it got worse and worse i.e. two times, three times ecta. to get the car the start. I took the car in to the place that installed the kit and it was there for three weeks and not once could they replicate the results. I've had it back now a couple of days and it hasn't failed to start yet but it has done two almost hang starts where the starter spins the engine for about two seconds before it decides; "Oh hey I need to wake up."

In an unrelated issue or maybe it is related, my airbag light has been flashing. I had the shop use their $8000 code reader and it came up with nothing. They just reset the code and after a couple of days it came back.

All of these issues popped up after the supercharger install. Does anybody have any thoughts? Has anyone seen this before? All suggestions are welcome and questions if it will help you come up with an answer.

Thank You

The starting issue is just your fuel trim is a bit out , and I have no idea about the airbag

Does it start after the car is hot also?

Either way, congrats on the kit! You should take it to your local dyno and check on a few things for you like, power deliver and what's your AFR's

Sounds like the intial issue I had , They had to send the tune back to be fixed again, BTW get a custom tune, for one it will get rid of that issue and you'll make the advertised WHP of the kit, I only made 50 WHP over my bolt on tune. After custom tune I made 114 WHO more . I have a couple off theards on here, Check them out a lot of really good info from guys on here, Along with some info from myself. Welcome the The Stillen kit, But a custom tune is a MUST.

When mounting the water plate infront of the air filters, did u mount it in the right place?
The air bag sensor could of been damaged in the front crash bar.
the air bag system is a completely different system, your tune shouldnt affect this.
Air bag codes are hard to pull, we have one of the best snap on scanners at our shop, and bmw, mer, nissan and some others dont allow u to pull them, inless u have the 1200$ connector, bring it to nissan and have them tell u what the code is. go from there.
I had the hard start issue too, easily fixed with up rev.. When i was waiting for my tune, i would just press the gas pedal, very slight, then hit the start button, seemed to work everytime.

after the tt install we got the air bag flashing as well , we the steps mentioned below and it never came back . hope this helps

important :Turn the ignition off as soon as the airbag light goes out the first time.

If you have the airbag light blinking here is how to reset it:

1. Push the start button two times (Ignition on but engine not started).

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off INSTANTLY.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

If it does not work the first time, just repeat the steps again.
