Beat the **** out of my TT 350 and 370. Floor thru the gears at least 10 times a day and never turn down a worthy race. If it blows up, it wasn't tuned properly for your level of abuse. The more you want to beat on it and the higher the power, the more conservative and better you need the tune to be. 7 years of TT in my 350 and it never broke down or blew up, and I just sold it. Ran the stock DE motor at 9psi 470rw then built it for more... Just sold the car still running although after all those years it's a little worn and 3 cyl have some leakdown... But that motor went 5 years of beating. In the 370 I went 3000 miles of beating the **** out of it at 450rw and just yesterday cranked it to 524rw and plan to go a little further yet before building the engine this winter. If it blows up at this power than it's because my self tuning, not because the motor can't handle it. Right now she blows the tires off thru second and squirms thru 3rd and feels great. Key is to always watch the tune. Aftermarket tunes need updating frequently as climate etc change so stay on top of it and log it often and research what your target AFs and timing should be under various circumstances. Neglect the tune and expect to boom. On a cool night that's 20 degrees colder than the car was tuned it can make 20+ more HP, even more if the boost creeps up a little. That's more than enough to end up in places on the maps that may have never been tuned live. Temp corrections can also take you off par. Gotta watch the gauges and log like a freak when boosting an 11:1 motor with fragile internals.
