Why aren't there any Greddy kit install treads?
Guys:
There are a plethora of GTM installs out there. Why is it that noone posts about the Greddy installs? There has got to be someone out there with it installed......or a shop that has installed one......:ugh2: Rob |
Just as I expected.............a bunch of views and no responses............
|
GTM came out with their kit first and quality wise it seems to be better. Also the GTM kit is cheaper and in a tight economy GTM is going to win every time.
|
How much does a GTM kit range? where can i find prices?
|
Forged has tuned one Greddy TT that the customer installed and did an install on a Nismo earlier. Neither one are active members.
Jotech and another shop have done some also. I feel the GTM superchargers are going to take over now. |
I understand the GTM is holding it down, but I had no idea that they had that much of an advantage when it comes to market share........

A friend of mine here in Tampa just did a Greddy kit on his G37 and made 500whp on only 8psi. |
I am about to order GTM Stage 2 TT based on price, availability of a turn key kit and water cooled ball bearing turbos .

Here is my build Mazworx-GambitX Greddy TT build - MyG37 Yes I know that GTM is huge for TT Zs and Gs but I wanted to go with Greddy. The kit went on with zero issues. |

This place sux dude. It is definitely my worst deployment so far, even though it has been quiet (no explosions so far). On paper, I should be back in time for the next BBQ @ Mike's and hopefully I won't miss ZDayz and Import Alliance. 98: I think I am going to go against the grain on this one, but not like yours. that is unless you put me down with your guy, lol. GambitX: Awesome. That is exactly hat I wanted to see. Make me want to pull the trigger more and more. |

There are some threads regarding greddy kits on here, mostly from shops.

my 370z has a greddy TT kit. I have a million pics from the build and everything is great so far. Been running around with my basic street tune at just 6psi for now, been waiting for the weather to be a little more realistic and then put it on the dyno and tune it for higher boost. once i do that, in the next couple weeks, ill be posting the full build and all the details. i have been daily driving the car and doing TONS of beating on her (3000 miles on the TT right now), so far no problems at all. I am personally struggling to learn the uprev software better, so the only hiccups I have had are tune related. For right now its running pretty damn clean at 6psi. The car hauls *** pretty good for only 6psi. I can tell that it is somewhere between 440-460rwhp based on many results that i cannot post about here... but my predictions will soon be irrelevent since i will have it on the dyno very soon... just hope i dont blow my own engine trying to remap it for higher boost. i would like to tune it for a high boost setting of 550-560rwhp for occasional use. if i screw up, i have another engine in the garage and will have to try again!!!
|
U have another engine? I would sell one, build the other and then aim for 600-650 whp
|
Nice! I have a spare VQ35DE floating around... care to trade?
I kid, I kid! :icon17: |

Did some tuning today... Will start a thread in a few days when I have time. Car made 524rwhp at 7.5-8 psi. I read some concern about lag without the BBs, I'll have to look at the graphs again but I believe I was past 300rwhp before 3500rpm... Comes on strong enough to completely blow the tires off so I don't see any room to complain about that. Might push it further soon but reached the end of my current comfort level with the Uprev for now. As I learn it more I'll go a little further. I want to research my ignition timing results with e85 and make sure I'm in the right zone. I'm running a lot more advance than a regular gas tune, but when I pulled any more it was losing lots of power. I'd like to do a 10psi pull tho, which should be 600-610rwhp... Just want to tune it there then run it around 550rwhp.

We performed a great deal of work on a Nismo as Dai sated. The car laid down 598rwhp before running out of fuel. For cooling it had a Z1 34row oil cooler, CSF radiator and a vented hood.
Last week we also tuned a GTM Stage II TT Nismo that laid down 544rwhp. And as far as the driving experience the GTM kit pretty much blows the 20G out of the water. The Greddy feels really lazy kind of reminds me of driving a Z32 with larger turbos. Laggy but when they kick in they really kick in. The GTM kit pretty much is a rocket every time you shift gears. Hope this helps you in some kind of way :). |
LOL...sounds like having a Z32 with some JWT700's. Hold on it's almost there!
