First of all, the definition of supercar is subjective in the first place and different to each person. Then classifying what car is or is not a supercar adds another level of personal opinion into it. In the end though, they're all just opinions so they don't matter

Obviously you can dump a ton of money into any car and have it beat a "supercar" at certain things (drag strip, road course, etc). I think what Red was trying to say before is that "supercars" which are built as supercars have gone through the R&D to make them not just good in one aspect, but all aspects including looks, exclusivity, drivability, comfort, quality, reliability, etc. IMO those things are part of what makes a supercar a supercar. Like someone else said, you can put 1000 hp onto a civic, but I would never call it a supercar because it's still a civic. I would consider a Z with SC/TT a high performance sports car, but not a supercar.

Thank you for answering the question. A TT/SC Z would be considered in the same league (performance wise) as Turbo 911's, Gtr's, Ferrari's etc. I'm sure we would all like to own those vehicles, but if I can have the same performance minus the $9k brake job, I'll take the Z every time

Actually I think you would need more things other than just the TT/SC kit to have the same overall performance. It may be in the same leage power wise or in a straight line race, but definitely not in handling or on a road course. For me, if I could afford a supercar I would definitely take one over a Z. In fact, I'm only keeping the Z until I can afford one

Have you ever driven any of the vehicles you just mentioned?
-In no way is any zed as refined as any Porsche or Ferrari.

Drive your z34 and jump into a similar model year 911TT.. You will NOT have the same performance, its just not happening.

LoL! Alex, if/when you come visit.. we will go for a tour of my friends shop.. He has pcars doing wheelies..
993> all.. only problem is that they are still $60k if you can find them.. and the interior is just to "dated" for me..
But I would still buy one if I could afford the up-keep.
