From what I gather, he's seeing 12psi of boost from the upgraded impeller; combination of increased psi and the fuel is making the power; if it's still going through the Stillen aftercooler, then he's probably seeing high intake charge temps, so built motor+octane must be why it hasn't popped.

Whatever the recipe, great to hear that it's working!

edit: we must have posted at the same time!

So, correction - increased psi+fuel+STROKER is making power; built motor+octane must be why it hasn't popped.

Wow....I thought that the cooling mods do.....cooler air = more power doesn't it?

TopgunZ 08-05-2016 03:26 PM

The car will have more power when it's driven with cooler Air temps but when they are on the dyno the tuner usually lets the car cool back down before making that final pull for the numbers and that pulll will be over before the water even goes through the entire system

I think it will be a lot less prone to popping than the stock Stillen system because he is only using the MAF for temp reading at the intake now and added a MAP sensor at the phelem for the actual readings to the ECU and switched to EcuTek.

A small update of my site:

I wanted the last days time to record some data and see the charge air with the new components

Unfortunately, my new Jabsco pump adopted!
If overheated and blown ....:ugh2:

For all who want my conversion to build, please note, from me:
The type 50840 Jabsco Pump delivers a good Flow- Result, but can not be used,
because the pump has to overcome a high pressure in the charge air system
and therefore it is very hot.

I have now ordered 2 new pumps and will present the results here.

- Davies Craig EBP40 - ELECTRIC BOOSTER PUMP (12VDC)
- Jabsco High Boost Pump type 50860

I will post some Results with the Pump,
the first arrives with me!:tiphat:
This weekend I have an important "Z" date here in Europe

Some UPdates of the progress:

Installed new Davies Craig pump and connected:
Davies Craig EBP40 is a brushless 12 volt, high flow (37litres / 9.77 gallons per minute), magnetically driven water pump

http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1471683462

The small pump provides much more water than the "BIG MAMA" bevor

The only problem is that the pump can not be well controlled by the electronics (only between 9-12 volts)
But I have already been tested and found that at about 10.7 volts is the best result.

Here are a few shots of the new 90mm intake pipe in the front:

Back from the Nurburgring :tiphat:

Rolling50 Sport1 Trackday

The rules:
Start with a speed of 50 Km/h (31 mph)
300 meters (984 feet) at full throttle

It was a great spectacle!
Extremely hot (32°C) and a lot of fast cars ....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TFMl6BMn78?t=5m15s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEz6GuA5ee8?t=1m5s

I drove 12 runs.
At the end of the transmission was so hot that I could not turn on the 4th gear.

Engine and Supercharger are 100% fine

Knowledge:
Against the automatic vehicles (DSG, PDK etc.) of BMW, Porsche, Audi,
I had no chance on the short track....

But one thing is sensational!

Flatfoot Shifting by EcuTek

On 9 October, I will participate in the Rolling50 1000
1000 meters (3280 feet) at full throttle!

As we will see what happens then....;)
