I'm not sure. We haven't been able to check them since we haven't been able to start the car. The only thing we did differently the last time when the Throttle Position Sensor codes were thrown, compared to the checks I've done this time, was we hooked up a Stillen SC intake pipe that has both MAfs hooked up to one throttle body. I don't think I can do that check this time because I don't they have a Stillen kit laying around like S&R did.

Ron 05-24-2011 07:47 PM

Hmm, hopefully Z1 can work their magic. On another note, someone mentioned using a stillen mani instead of the md that you have. Have you considered doing this and running just one pipe and split it at the TBs to get rid of unequal piping? Just like the stillen setup. I don't know much about tuning but if it works for stillen you might be able to make it work too.

Ryan, it was nice to have met you at the car show! I do hope things are back in working order for you soon. Hang in there! The 40th is a real looker!

Power steering pump is in...now the 140amp fuse on the positive terminal for the battery is blown. This has become a F'ing nightmare.

m4a1mustang 05-25-2011 01:59 PM

Damn, that sucks dude. :(

What, man your having a bad week!!

daisuke149 05-25-2011 04:37 PM

well lets see. pipes on P/S = boiled P/S.

burnt wire = causes short = throws off TPS = blows the main fuse.

At least it all sounds like its part of one issue vs multiple issues.

Are you talking about his woman... cause last time I checked, this thread was about his car... :icon08: :rofl2:

98intrigue 05-25-2011 06:02 PM

Retune in progress. The tune was way rich at idle and cruise...and way lean at wot.

7.5psi is 413/366.

Dzel 05-25-2011 06:04 PM

Keep us updated! I feel like I'm waiting for news on a brothers new baby being born!

Hope you get home safe man!

Red__Zed 05-25-2011 06:28 PM

Glad to hear things are looking up. Hope things work out for you-- I know how much of a headache (and wallet-ache) these builds can become.

Woot!!!!

Hopefully Z1 can get you squared away...

daisuke149 05-25-2011 08:18 PM

They were still tuning it not long ago.

Prosport Gauges 05-25-2011 08:29 PM

12.27 lean at WOT????

Yes, 12.2 is lean...but mine was 13.3-13.5 wot.

98intrigue 05-25-2011 08:39 PM

And it was 12.0 at idle and at cruise.

Now it's at 14.7 idle and around cruise and 11.5-11.7 wot.

I DON'T need new MAF sensors either! We hit 10psi and made 477/410 if I remember correctly. On 6.2psi, the car made an even 400whp. The first run on the dyno before Z1 touched the tune made only 367 at 6.8psi. That's a tad different than the 428 at 4.7psi the car put down back in Tampa.

HKYStormFront 05-25-2011 08:41 PM

remember, different dyno on a different day makes a difference, glad you were able to get it going ryan!

Good numbers still tho. As long as its running smoothly without errors!

What are your plans when you going back down to Tampa?

Yeah, I know that...but that factor wouldn't make a 70whp difference!

Also, the UpRev software doesn't differentiate on different dynos since it's reading the ecu. The air fuel ratios were really bad!

We are going to see if we can get a little more power in the morning since Jon did about 40 pulls today. I'll probably leave before lunch time.

Mike 05-25-2011 09:10 PM

Jon is awesome!

JB-370z 05-25-2011 09:18 PM

Your setup is nice man. Much props to going a new route. Do you plan on building the motor or lowing the compression? I thinking the welds on the piping could not get any better. I think you are helping lead the way for others wanting to go single terb.
