Perhaps she should also consider spending less time haggling with businesses and go take some literacy courses. Her grammar blows.

As for shipping times, has anyone looked up exactly where Guam is on GoogleMaps? It's on the other side of the planet. It's obvious US Mail would take forever to get there. Moral of the story: businesses shouldn't ship anything of value to Guam and Guamanians shouldn't expect speedy deliveries. Why does Joe need a turbo-powered car on a 30 mile long by 4 mile wide island anyway?

Wow, this is all pretty crazy. It's interesting seeing both sides of the story.

Sounds like one of two things happened:
1. Someone at GTM (not Sam, obviously), tried to screw some people over (GTM, consumer, or both).
2. Consumer tried to (and accomplished) screwing over GTM into getting a new kit to replace a busted up one.

Just playing devil's advocate. ;)

To the friend or wife whoever you are. We understand your plight and the situation. however, your actions here were completely uncalled for and unwarranted. Vindictive action due to emotions is very immature and irresponsible. Next time you have a problem with a company I hope you have a cooler head and atleast a little patience.

I tried to make the video as light hearted as possible and easy for anyone to understand.
Didn't want Free $hit. Just wanted Joe to get his Money back and never to spend a dime with GTM again. GTM didn't want that offered replacement parts and AFR gauge that Joe had previously spoke to Sam about.
Even though they said it would be taken care of. The piping wasn't even shipped till a few days ago.(This problem has been going on for quite some time) Joe will be leaving soon. The car will have to be shipped. Will the parts arrive on time? We shall see. If the original parts were properly wrapped, undamaged and shipped on time. The kit would already be on the car and shipping to somewhere else. That wasn't the case.If GTM had done what they are just now doing. Weeks ago the video wouldn't have been made and we wouldn't be reading this thread.

yah man plus fedex and ups both murder us on there shipping rates :shakes head: sam prolly woulda paid close to a thousand just to ship it out here using fedex or ups....usps is actually really good... has to be priority though  got my sport package wing all the way from virginia in just 3 days :happydance: and with no scratch at all perfect.... my fastest shipping time was from texas.... i paid my friend on this forum for my end caps.... woke up the next day and lunch time it was here.... i love usps

I'm sure after this Thread people will not be having any problems with GTM shipping whatsoever. Not sure how often this situation has happened, but for me. Once is one too many. I can't get full off empty words i need action. I'm not saying in the past GTM hasn't given excellent products or customer service.
However this time that was not the case. And someone has to speak up so it doesn't happen to anyone again. I know sam didn't pack the boxes, but who ever did needs to get ripped a new one. If I never said anything maybe Sam wouldn't even know this kind of thing is happening. I assure you he knows now.
Now customer service Just because you can't see someone or they're an ocean away doesn't mean you brush them off. Word can only do so much. It's actions that people remember. If your words and actions don't match up. Then you're going to have a problem.

Looks like whatever happened GTM tried to make it right.

joe is in the us navy as i am and I will not judge the word of one of my fellow brothers and I will believe what he says . I do not think this is shipping damage, honestly I know this is not shipping damage. My opinion is this came off a car that got a shitty install and sam fixed the problem. Parts got thrown in a box that were bad and the people that do the shipping thought it to be new and associated with the parts he needs. Could have been prevented, but hey **** happens. The story was stated from sam and from Joe's wife. Sam is sending the new parts you stressed your concern but yet continue to rant like a little child. I don't think he would ship this purposely because any half brain moron knows that this is going to raise a alarm and now he has to deal with the situation yet again and get all new **** shipped. Why would someone intentionally do this? come on people. If your using this for a reason not to buy a GTM FI kit I laugh at you because there are more success then failures with this kit on are forum. I actually think this is the first and only issue present.

SPOHN 03-09-2011 05:07 PM

T minus count down.

Jordo! 03-09-2011 05:12 PM

I think we can tentatively assume this is an exception for GTM and not a rule; either way, so long as GTM makes this right, everyone should be happy in the end.

Sorry, Joe. I've gotten screwed on these sorts of deals before, as have good friends of mine. Yes, sh!t happens, and otherwise honest businesses have bad days and make mistakes -- but in the end they need to make things right when a legitimate complaint is brought forth, which seems to be the case here.

Hopefully they will make things right -- keep us posted.

everyone else's posts are just turning this thread into garbage, in which case it will get locked. and then nothing will be learned from the situation except that everything possibly useful gets turned into trash.

I like this theory. May have set better with me.

Rather yet many have stressed that this is outside the norm of what GTM's normal packaging looked like and that there is some discrepancies with what they normal ship out in respect to the condition of their finished product and what the pictures and video showed. There were also probably some words said from your side that would have sparked a response like you got... I have spent more phone time with the team members at GTM than probably this whole community combined. I have pushed their buttons I have said things I shouldn't have as a customer. I know to what extent GTM goes to stay professional... I can tell you right now from my own personal experiences that comment was provoked and you are not telling the whole story of what was said on your behalf because then it would make your party look bad. Again, Nobody including GTM is saying that Joe has lied or that the issue is fake or what not. However, I am standing here as a representative of this community and I will tell you I can smell deception a mile away and even though it may not be your intent you are deceiving the community of the real communication that went on between both parties. I will not put words in either parties mouth however I have a pretty good idea of what went down as far as what was said from my interactions with GTM and what would have to be said for any member of GTM staff to say that phrase to you! I am probably one of the only few members here who has made dozens of phone calls a week not only to GTM but to GTM owner's personal cell phone asking questions, checking on status, and even trying to plan the next steps on my build... I have made GTM's owner mad from my pestering and from my words... instead of thinking I talked out of place and you know what he stayed professional with me even though I got emotional and raised my voice! Its called maturity and GTM is showing that right now....:tiphat:

There were people who said Joe was making up this story. People who only know GTM and not Joe. So Joe must be lying. GTM/SAM was confident on the phone assuring Joe things will be handled promptly. Then came up with excuses every time Joe called as to the reason why products hadn't been shipped yet. Not manning up and Calling Joe the moment he knew there was a problem. Even though he said things would be done. This is were the frustration is coming from. That is the other reason why the video was made. I believe it states that in the beginning of the video.

GTM's actions spoke much louder than there words.

I hope this thread gets locked by admin. Not to cover it up or anything but to prevent the situation from going all over the place as it is starting to. So I say lock it and if Joe or sam have a update to pm admin and them unlock it for that and then lock it back up after the update

This kind of set me on fire.
