GTM Supercharger Stage 1 w/ F.I. LTH
GTM Supercharger Stage 1 with Fast Intentions long tube Headers & 12" resonator exhaust
Dyno: Dynojet Red line - Right after SC was installed and getting around 5-6PSI Blue line - After some tuning and updated intake piece with 8PSI https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_w...s1440/Dyno.JPG |
No way you hit 8psi with longtubes...
:stirthepot: |
Almost 400, nice!
|
nice #'s
|
your lines are all squiggly like spaghetti :bowrofl:
|
Nice numbers! 93 or 91 octane?

What kind of dyno is that?

looks awful. :shakes head:

Are you happy with those numbers?
|
Very happy, I wanted 8PSI with 400HP and I got it. I am sure we could spend more time tuning the top end and do more work increasing that flat spot at the end but no need for me personally.
|
I'd like to see it without the LTHs, but pretty nice numbers still. I like that torque curve.

Nice, I am glad someone got F.I.'s Long tubes to work.
Any vids/sound clips |
Funny that without tuning, you'd have only made about 40whp over someone with bolt-ons.

It does, the bottom end has a nice feel to it, which is where I wish the TQ was from factory. |
I bet it's slow as hell :koolaidwall:

A 350zHR with a vortex the same day was putting down around 380 at 8PSI on the same dyno so it definitely was not a fun day for making ones e-peen bigger. |

Now you need to pulley that damn thing down, make 12 PSI and get those numbers up. Maybe the stage II or III kit will clear 450 at the wheels! |

So...GTM advertised 460whp at 8psi on 93 OCT w/ 2.5" exhaust and 420whp @ 8psi with stock exhaust in their press release and Dreamer made 394whp with longtube headers and full exhaust. |
Here we go again.

Boost is back pressure. The stock exhaust is as restrictive as it gets. When you relieve back pressure in a force inducted application, you have a PSI drop off but you pick up torque and power. Now it seems like this SC is capped @ 8 PSI. What that tells me is that no matter what you do to it, it cannot move enough volume to move more air than 8 PSI. Put the larger stage II or III head unit on it create more volume and turn the boost up, period! The garbage idea of leaving a stock exhaust on a force inducted car is one of the most outrageous things that I have ever heard... |
I hope this doesn't turn into another flame thread
TBH i really do like that torque curve. Plenty of power throughout the band, I'd love to have that for Rin. |

Are you talking about a vortech kit if so they dont make a kit for a 350z HR the do make it for the DE 350z If its 8 psi thats the normal numbers for a DE. The one thing I notice about all the GTM supercharger dyno's is that flat spot up top most of the times a centrifugal supercharger will keep building boost all the way to redline. |

Now as far as making 460 at the wheels, c'mon thats bogus. The Stillen/Vortech head unit moves much more volume and to the best of my knowledge they haven't even seen those kind of numbers, (YET)! If you want to make 450+ you are going to need to turbo the car, plain and simple! |

Tony |
460whp is what intro level TT's are running, are we to believe that the stage 1 SC and TT make the same power? Still I'm with RCZ on this one, GTM led us to believe more, clearly the stage 1 compressor is not enough.
|
BTW I'm a huge fan of Tony's long tube headers. Every SC setup I've ever seen, headers and exhaust setups at 2.5" have increased power not robbed.
|
Shumby made 390 rwhp at 6 lbs with stock exhaust manifolds and stock cat's. Not sure what exhaust he had.
Headers and high flow cats will cost you boost and RHWP. |
