Very awesome. Wish you all would run the dynos from the same RPM point though. I would like to get an idea of boost/tq onset.

Paging Sam, come in Sam....
My 7AT goes under the knife a Hills Garage in Maryland. Your stage 2 TT kit is being installed after I finally got off my patootie (My mother calls arse, patootie) Please send Frank some positive boosting vibes, mang! |
Come on Alex I need a Twin

all that power on stock internals, I'm impressed and hesitant at the same time props to GTM for pushing the limit once again.
|
Nice! I saw this vid a few weeks ago, and it's nice. The display location is exactly where I would like to have it, but hopefully keep the cubby lid.

How fast are you guys completing an install these days? looks great.

Beautifully setup!!
You'll be surprise how tough stock internals are. My bud used to have a '99 1.7L Honda Civic running 1.2bar (about 17psi) on stock internals. The engine is still running fine after 2 years till he sold it. I had an '04 Alfa Romeo 1.6TS running on 1.6bar (23psi) on stock internals as well and had braced myself for a blown engine probably weeks later but heck i was wrong. End up i had her for about a year before i let her go. She was still running fine. Makes me wonder after that whether all the $$$ going into forged low com piston are really worth it. Well, unless it's a 40psi drag car that's a different story. But having said that, gearbox are always the first to go rather than the engine. |
Hey, I went for a ride in that car.

In the end, you haters could be right and the 7AT might be the weak link when doing FI.......but, if mines still fine, in my world your still wrong. Its obvious that others have had problems but, when adding this much HP and TQ there are many variables involved that affect the long term durability of the egine and tranny. |

You might want to take a step back and see what people are writing, instead of just saying people are haters. |

Getting back on point, lets discuss those stock internals. I know we haven't seen one blow up due to FI yet but clearly it is a concern when power gets that high. I believe every high powered GTM built TT has installed a knock sensor so while they are confident they are proceeding with caution.
