Jason just sent me a few pictures of the install, and we're getting a little closer... . I ordered the AAM oil pan spacer Friday, as it was recommend it for a bigger oil capacity and to prevent drilling into the oil pan. It's FI friendly per say... Everything is coming along together just fine!

You should really follow the instruction and install the turbo oil return in the pan and not in a spacer, adding a spacer is ok to increase engine oil capacity but will not do as good of a job when installing the turbo oil returns in the oil pan. The VQVHR engine has a lot of oil pressure (higher then the average engine) and ball bearing turbos are very sensitive to oil pressure and return volume .
