Brazilbro's GTM TT

Just thought I would start sharing some of the installation progress that is going on as we speak. I must say this kit is top notch!! Sam has really really taken this kit to a new level with the best and most detailed instruction manual I have ever seen! Now for pics!

LiquidZ 08-26-2010 02:16 PM

Looks great! In for results.

Big J 08-26-2010 02:41 PM

Do you have to drop the motor to install the kit?

theDreamer 08-26-2010 02:42 PM

Looking good.

No, but it makes it easier.

I think some have done it with the motor in the car, but if you value your hands and want a stress free install I would take the motor out. MUCH easier!

Mr&Mrs 08-26-2010 05:19 PM

Looks nice after the install maybe give an estimate on your total time to finish it.

Black kNight 08-26-2010 05:36 PM

good luck

DIGItonium 08-26-2010 05:40 PM

Nice to see another TT'd Z in the making! I'm very eager for mine... yesterday what sounded like a turbo Civic passed me as I was making a turn (from the whoosh of the BOV). His car is probably the quietest turbo Civic I've ever heard because I could barely hear his exhaust.

Anyhow, what's the scuff mark on the side of the turbo?

JB-370z 08-26-2010 05:53 PM

Not bad, you are going to love the TT's. Im sure Sam is with you every step of the way

It is just the marks left from grinding down the cast lines in the metal I think. That looks beautiful, I am a huge fan of turbo charging but I wish it was as easy as adding a supercharger!

Dembflyr 08-27-2010 09:12 AM

In for updates.

#452-LE 08-27-2010 02:22 PM

In for updates as I will be modding a Stage II GTM TT set-up.

BTW Brazilbro, wish I was around your neck of the woods this weekend. The Moto GP rocked last year!!!

Footloose301 08-28-2010 08:19 AM

CBRich 08-28-2010 09:09 AM

Moto GP rocks! I think it gets crazier here during the GP then the 500!

y0 B, send me high res pictures of your avatar...My front bumper is in the shop getting the same treatment but I want to make sure I like it before the cutting gets to out of control! From what I can tell it looks good...

Its a little aggressive but I like it.. I don't know if I'll drive it in the rain with the intakes showing but I don't think I'd want to drive a 500whp RWD car in the rain anyway :bowrofl: :driving:

Brazilbro 10-02-2010 03:25 PM

Everything is done with the install, just got the tune from sam uploaded. Now Just need to get on the Dyno!!

DannyGT 10-02-2010 03:35 PM

Thats great! Thanks for the pics...I think im gonna leave the black piece across the top and the side 'wall' to show a bit of depth to it and just remove the whole center piece/fang area...

DIGItonium 10-04-2010 11:32 PM

What electronics and clutch/flywheel setup are you running with this TT build?

Brazilbro 10-04-2010 11:47 PM

So far running stock everything..besides exaust and test pipes. Though I do have a Greddy Profect B boost controller..
I don't even have a oil cooler yet.. figured I'd be ok untill summer:p

DIGItonium 10-04-2010 11:54 PM

Haha nice... do you have videos of the start up and what not? I'd like to hear what it sounds like especially with the stock exhaust. I wonder how the exhaust manifold affects the sound. Right now I have the stock cats and TDX cat back.

What I am also curious about is extended driving to see what happens to the throttle response (i.e., stall around 2k with 50% throttle in 1st and 2nd).

Brazilbro 10-21-2010 04:01 PM

Just a couple of shety videos I did today.. There will be more.
Video 1 is me in front of my house trying to get traction.
Video 2 is a 3 gear pull with VDC On.. check out the light blinking

congrats on the kit!..Sam's stuff is definatley top notch!

Jeffblue 10-21-2010 04:13 PM

fixed the vids for you.

that looks awesome btw. did you do the install yourself or a shop did it?

how much boost are you running? what kind of numbers are you expecting to see on a dyno? how does it feel on the butt dyno.

Brazilbro 10-21-2010 04:18 PM

Thanks for the fix Jeff.. A shop in Louisville Ky call Performace Motors did the install. Its pushing between 7-8PSI and my butt Dyno is telling me when It hooks up I'm probably at least 425whp.. Hoping the dyno hits 450+.. If not I'll just have Sam send me a better tune!
I go to the dyno wed.!:happydance::driving:

christian370z 10-21-2010 06:49 PM

Jeez, VDC really pulled all the steam out of your 3rd gear pull! Thanks for the speedo shot, I have been looking all over for shots of accelerations with 370Zs that are FI. Looks great!

Yea I didn't even notice that he had it on. I always turn mine off, i figured still pulling with that trying to correct me could cause damage to it.
Frank

DIGItonium 10-21-2010 08:43 PM

Even with VDC active, that 3rd gear pull is definitely very nice! Props!
