Ohhh man...I miss boost already. I'm going to try to wait until April when I get my first time home buyer's tax credit. I don't know if I can wait that long though!

coaster 08-12-2010 03:44 PM

Awesome, so cool.

Trips 08-12-2010 03:48 PM

Boost_lee 08-12-2010 03:51 PM

very clean car, clean install also

Chris@FsP 08-12-2010 03:52 PM

Are they the Stg1 or Stg2 turbines? Post says Stg1 but dyno charts say Stg2. Either way, looks very nice :)

Jeffblue 08-12-2010 03:53 PM

wow, its hard enough not to abide by the break in period when the car is stock, theres no way i could resist if i had a twin turbo! awesome build!

Damn, very nice.

Red370 08-12-2010 04:05 PM

I assume he'll be daily driving on lower boost... I'm curious how long the car will last at 10 psi on stock internals though..

m4a1mustang 08-12-2010 04:06 PM

Nice. Hope to see this car around VA...

Nitex 08-12-2010 04:11 PM

Great job GTM, one comment though... seems your tips are coming out beyond the rear bumper. I would try to flush that up some but that's just my opinion

No one can answer that but we had great track record so far, here is a car with 20 k miles on the build running 10-11 psi every day still going strong and this guy is not babying it .

GT Motorsports: GTM Stage 2 TT G37 Coupe, GTM 3" Cat-Back, GTM Flash, 611RWHP/47 - MyG37

Also you don't have to run 10 psi all the time and tuning has a lot to do with it .

Sam

SAM@GTM 08-12-2010 04:29 PM

Sorry guys we are going to bore you to death in the next few days, We do have few more twin turbo build to post. Have not had any time to post them up yet .

Sam

bullitt5897 08-12-2010 05:20 PM

Great work SAM!!! Can't wait to see what other builds you guys have coming down the line!

Brazilbro 08-12-2010 10:38 PM

I plan to run 10psi daily also.. its the only way to get the 400+wtq that I need!!! :yum:

With a good boost controller and playing with the gain setting, getting solid torque numbers is relatively easy. It really depends how much you want .

Here is an aggressive set up, still with a Stage 1 kit ... this car was fun .

DIGItonium 08-12-2010 11:28 PM

Wow... what's it like accelerating from mid to max throttle from 1st-3rd with this kind of power? Also, what is it like for daily driving with moderate throttle? Is there still a bit of benefit down low? Heh, I'm still aiming for around 450whp and hoping for some improved low end response. BTW, I'm looking forward to using the EVC 6 and AFK with the Stage 1.

The graph above demonstrate how good the bottom end feels, this thing is making a lot torque below 3000 rpm.

EVC 6 and the HKS knock amp are an excellent choice .

98intrigue 08-12-2010 11:41 PM

I just got done watching turbo Z/G videos on YouTube for the past hour. I can't take it! I NEED boost!!!

GUTCH 08-13-2010 12:34 AM

Noob question, I know you guys love them.

What does "AR" mean (as in .64AR)?

Thanks in advance.

In easy to understand language:

Area to Ratio. It is the size of the turbine housing (hot side). A smaller A\R will spool quicker, cap top end power depending on the engine flow characteristics, and if too small it can overboost\spike.

A larger A\R is the opposite.

Brazilbro 08-13-2010 08:45 PM

:bowrofl: WoW 530wtq... I'm in love!! starting to look more like a bolt on GT-R Dyno graph

Sprite 08-13-2010 09:07 PM

holy $**7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT THAT!

#452-LE 08-14-2010 08:04 AM

I cannot wait until my GTM Stage-2 TT kit is ready to ship!!! (and in my hands, of course)

JACKPAC 08-14-2010 09:04 AM

This engine is going to get one hell of a break-in! Good work fella's!

B1nks 08-14-2010 09:19 AM

Makes me wish I had hung onto my Z. The drivetrain chatter and brake issues are what pushed me away.

SAM@GTM 08-14-2010 01:22 PM

Also for any one who wants to attempt installing the kit them self Here is the instruction .

the second link is for the NISMO model .

Hey Sam

If you're already in the mood for posting installation manuals, how about posting the 370Z supercharger kit installation manual somewhere?

Pretty please. :bowrofl:

He has, check the SC thread.l

GUTCH 08-14-2010 02:06 PM

I've been checking all of the threads for the past month or so and there's only the G37 version unless I'm mistaken. If you can find the 370Z version, please post the link.

I would imagine it's pretty much the same. Just like the twin turbo instructions for the 370 are almost identical to the g37 except for turbo clocking.

Is it me, or is the intercooler crooked?

Haha. Random question I know, especially after seeing those dyno graphs.
