How does the aftermarket traction control interact with the stock traction control? (assuming there is one).

We will have a full write up about the the GTM Racelogic PNP system in the next few days.

Stay tuned

Sam

This is one thing I will be looking forward to:ugh2:

Stock car does not have a traction control, it has a VDC . two complete different animals. VDC close down the throttle vs the the traction that we are installing limits the power and torque to the wheels .

While driving the car with the TC, VDC is turned off .

Now how does that work because I think he said it needs to be tuned or is it just a plug and play system

It is a plug and play system, We have done 4 systems so far and we have a pretty solid map for it already. Just like our tuning solution the system has logging capabilities that allow the end user to log info and also change parameters as well.

Hope this helps

Don't want to wait for the write up. If it is something I can do I just might order before his write up is done in a couple of days or week. Thanks any way i guess.

From the pix on GTM's website, it looks like there's a jumper harness that plugs into the vehicle's wiring. I'm guessing GTM will have their tune already uploaded to the unit.

Yes, We are doing 95 % of the work by providing the system with a patch harness to the ecu so to summarize what you have to do to get drive the car with the traction control is the flowing :

1-Install GTM pnp harness to the ecu
2-Conect power and ground to the TCM box
3-Tap into the abs module speed sensor input
4-Bleed brake system (optional)
5-install selector switch

For a grade (A) Tech this will take 4 to 5 hours

and of course we have a specific install instruction as well

Are you bragging or just complaining how much lighter your wallet is? :p

I can just imagine what your bill to GTM is now

Z eliminator 12-31-2010 10:22 AM

Both.
I think that Sam should come to Toronto to tune the car, VVEL, and Traction Control Systems.)

Its only money, (way cheaper than buying a 2011 GTR ) .

Zat_Zuma 12-31-2010 10:37 AM

Never mind, I should go to TO and have a ride, when your all done.

Z eliminator 12-31-2010 01:16 PM

Any time.
The taction Control should be shipped to me in a few weeks.

Beautiful work sam, Amazing what you guys do, Bravo!

Z eliminator 12-31-2010 01:44 PM

May be we should put the 550 rwhp turbo in it instead of the SC.
Then we can really see how well it works.

Sam I got some questions.

Your TC will help the traction even if the TC and VCD was off? (explain please)

If i read this thread right, I can Lunch Control with AT cars. Just for check, Is that true?

If the 2nd answer was yes, What RPM we can lunch control our 7AT cars?

What is the weight of the whole package? How many boxes? large or small boxes?.. Im asking because I live overseas so i just wanna have an idea about shipping cost.

Will it fit G37 Coupe 2009 GCC spec?

Thanks.

-Yes it does sense it is a a complete standalone unit. actually you should always turn the VDC off so you can let TC do it magic .

-There is 4 launch setting in the programing software, soft and hard launches in two different conditions wet and dry .

-All the rpm are limits are configurable according to you vehicle mods

-The wight is less of the system is about 6 Pound

-Yes it will work on the GCC spec cars

Also i forgot to mention that is 100 % adjustable and tunable by the end user with a world class user interface.

Checked out the link to that TT G37, and noticed that George from GTM says they recommend not going over 500whp on the stock internals, is that still the case?
