Any type of forced induction is illegal in California, unless the kit has been submitted, tested and approved by CARB (which is a rigorous process).

Anything modifying or altering smog equipment on vehicles requires CARB approval. This also includes intake systems, headers, cats, etc. Anything beyond the catalytic converter (cat-back exhaust) is not subject to CARB approval, and is fine to install.

The STILLEN Supercharger has been submitted for CARB-approval, is going well, and we should have more information soon.

But until that happens, the STILLEN kit is also not CARB approved and not yet legal for installation in California.
