Lou - very wise where boost is concerned.
GTM - does the EVC have a boost limit cut off ? obviously the reflash will not have a boost cut of any sort so wondering what safety net there is , if any, some one could theoretically grenade a motor very easily if un wise, unlike Lou.
Does UPREV have any pressure sensing fuel cut or simular, over MAF V, anything?

I actually recalibrated everything within mine just for giggles. Read the manual. It's a bit complicated, but it's not too bad. There are some really good settings to be found in there as the EVC6 does a boat load. Also, you may want to double check and make sure that some of these settings are not at defaults. Not mentioning any names, but a few clients of other shops have found their EVC6 set to 4 cylinder mode on their 6 cylinder cars.

Actually, it does. Not only does it have a cut off, but it will drop the boost, immediately, to a preset psi. I have mine set at a maximum of 10 psi and if that level is reached it immediately drops it to 7 psi. This controller is loaded.

Thanks Stormcrow, good to know, seems a very nice EBC

One more if I may, does it have per gear settings? in rpm set points or is it just a one shot target and upper liit setting?

It's just a single target PSI. The gear that you are in at the time is inconsequential to the EVC. The same goes with the RPMs.

Hey storm do you know what dyno sam used on your car. I know it was the dynojet but from there website he has two models, the 248 and the 224. Just wondering because I know dyno's can vary and I wanna try to find the model you used, so I know that I am around the same rwhp as you since we have the same goal. Thanks

Sam can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they use the 248 (Rear) drum for RWD\FWD vehicles and the 224 (Front) is used for AWD.

Damn fine question, Frank. I have never asked Sam, but will do so and let you know if he doesn't respond to this thread before then.

Well I am glade that you find it a good question. I did some research before i posted that and there are so many reviews of others contradicting what others say. One person states that the 224 and 248 will give same results. One person replies calling him a idiot and says the 224 will give a higher rwhp then the 248 because the drum is lighter, blah blah blah. With all the dynos out how the hell do we really know what are rwhp is. dyno dynamics reads an average of 10-15% lower then a dyno jet. So who's number are real lol. There has to be a standard set here or I am going to develop a dyno that will say you have 600 rwhp after all you did is install intakes. I hope I am making my point clear in what I just wrote. All the BS just makes it that more confusing in what dyno you wanna run on. If I went to run on a dyno dynamics hen the rwhp should some what equal the same that I would get off of a dyno jet
