I think you mean coolant lines no? Also if those are threaded in (looks like they may be) I think you can get angled AN fittings to re-do the lines.

They are coolant lines for the intercooler.

Those are water lines. The kit uses an air-to-water system for cooling the compressed air. There is a water filled heat exchanger inside the intake manifold.

Like Gforce said, they look to be threaded and therefore you should be able to change them out.

Just noticed that compared to the prototype pics...that oddly placed support bracket for the SC hot pipe is now gone. Or just not visible from those pics? Nice touch if so...

Ah no kidding, makes since, apprently in my smashed up head I was thinking about a top mount blower, and my brain was thinking Supercharger instead of intake manifold. Of course you don't run friggin oil to the IM, lol.

nice pics

You are correct...We changed the charge pipe and removed the mounting bracket. There is still PLENTY of support when it's all bolted up.

I love the look of the SC but its too showy. I would get red flagged by the car control the moment they open the hood :roflpuke2:

you'll do the same with either kit, so its not really a big deal.

whiddles 04-07-2010 07:33 PM

has anyone got qoutes on install yet? is about $1k average?

mndthegap1 04-08-2010 05:45 AM

the install time is between 10-12 hrs. my shop quoted me for 15 to be on the safe side.

He was getting at the fact that you're still gonna get flagged regardless.

My shop quoted me 12 hours + 6 hours for clutch...
