Piping, intakes, all are different and were fabricated for this car, which is why it took so long for stillen to make a great product.

The video is just a sales pitch, no offense kyle and its nice, but I want to hear what this thing really sounds like. Gtm put it up and alot of people did not like the sound, but in the past the sound of this should be exactly what I am hoping..

No offense taken. We are not arguing that the video is a sales pitch in our attempt at showing you guys just some of the testing that we put into this kit.

I'm guessing you want an idling video? I will on getting that for you this week. Steve went to Nevada with the car this weekend and plans on going back out again this week to do some more endurance testing. But, I will do my best to get some video for you.

If someone can answer the last question, I'm assuming you can answer this one. If you did you Cobb, and planned on don't plan on getting a dyno-tune, would it be just as safe or what? I guess my thinking on this is that Stillen worked with UpRev throughout all of this so it just seems like they would know more about tuning there supercharger. I am totally asking as a newb so anything positive would be appreciated.

Also, with the upgrades that I have, If I'm understanding it right: I will pull info from my ecu and send it to Stillen.... Then they create a "safe" tune for it? Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. Thanks

Idle plus some revving

I talked to chris at cobb and he said the cobb and tune it as well. But no sense in having two AP

If someone wants to use a COBB tuner they will more than likely want to purchase our "tuner kit." This is the kit that comes with everything except injectors and a fuel pump. Then they will need to take that setup to an authorized COBB tuner so that they can have their car re-tuned.

DO NOT INSTALL THE SUPERCHARGER WITHOUT HAVING YOUR TUNING SOLUTION READY!!! I can not stress this enough! You can not just install the supercharger and then download your normal, off the shelf UPrev, or COBB tune. Those tunes are optimized for naturally aspirated vehicle's. Their a/f and timing calibration will destroy your motor in no time...You need to have a tune set up specifically for forced induction.

I will elaborate on the tuning as long as I can...I just need to get permission from the guys at UPrev to make sure anything I might say is not proprietary.

I plan on using uprev tune for awhile then maybe switching to the cobb later down the road if at all. I already had the cobb though.

So am I correct on the method of tuning for the S/C set up then? I send you info from my ecu and you tune it based on that info and my mods and everything to create a "safe" tune?

To start with, the only thing that we will be tuning for is the supercharger and a cat-back exhaust. We won't be tuning for high flow cats or headers right away but it will be pretty soon on the list...especially with some of the exciting projects we have coming in the next couple of months.

You will basically download your tune, email it to us, we will make the necessary modifications, and email it back to you. However, this process will change after we get a database of ECU rom's on file. Once we have a database of tune's done you won't have to do any emailing back and forth or anything like that. Just a simple plug in, download, and drive.

so we will get an access port deal with the kit? you have any pics of that?

Kyle idling and revving would be perfect, would love to hear how the car is running? I bet pretty smooth will all the last little bits done, thats gotta be a sigh of relief that all your hard work and time is running nice and smooth. Their is nothing like a clean install man, just turning on a car and going with a new part lol, what a feeling!

not sure you understand what a sleeper is? its a car that was never intended for performance :P ie a civic, or a suv, or old truck that has a 7.2 super duty in it whats a twin screw S/C lol. a 370 never can be a sleeper ;)

I think what he means is that he wants to keep his Z looking as close to bone stock as possible, so when people see him on the street they think, "Oh thats just a stock Z," then they get suprised.

My theory just keep it looking stock, unless your at a meet and you have to open the hood, no one on the street will know that your car is modded. Except for maybe exhaust.

Kyle, I know you mentioned that the CARB kit tune would not be modifiable by law. You also mentioned that the first maps coming from you for the S/C are not optimized for HFC's. So I just need to clarify; will the Race kit tune be modifiable? I'm expecting the answer to be yes, but I just want to make sure I don't need to go with the tuner kit instead.

I'm confused now. Sorry if I missed it, but what is Stillen's solution for the calibration? They have one done that they flash into your ECU?
