Since it is a low pressure application it really need be only 10% if it were for the oil system then i would say 20-25%

The O rings included in the supercharger kit are square, not round.

like how kyle is turning it into a install error war. This thread was to discuss the water cooler letting go, unrelated to throttle bodies. Kyle you want me to post all my communication with you and Josh and where we sent my car to for installs and to correct some errors on your dime? Im not here to bash. Im here to see if this needs to be looked at any further or not.

either way with o rings or not it all was done through stillen now stillen says its installed incorrectly. funny. Kyle okay even to replace your inner cooler core is over $580 and then you did discount it for me but its still to me unfair

So the O rings are square? Really your manifold has a circle grove in it for the gaskets and the stock TB's use O circle gaskets Why would yours be square?

I even went back an looks at kit and the mani had circle grooves?

I still don't see why the inner cooler would let go from this. IMO that is something that needs to be looked at.

whiddles 07-03-2014 02:31 PM

they are ducking tails now it seems?

ANMVQ 07-03-2014 02:31 PM

It is, I think that is his whole point, BTW Whiddles I don't remember were you still run "their ridiculous IMO" heat exchanger? Or did you follow me and upgrade it to take it off the radiator?

whiddles 07-03-2014 02:34 PM

I ran it as it was installed via they're installer never modded

whiddles 07-03-2014 02:36 PM

I put 18k on it maybe in 4 years never really did much after the SC

ANMVQ 07-03-2014 02:37 PM

I would bet that's why, I'm not a engineer but to have a heat exchanger bolted to the radiator didn't seem like the best why to run that. Between the radiator getting hot , the trans cooler( If auto) and the heat exchanger being hot , How the hell can the fluid be cool? That was my first mod to the system, Didn't understand it from day one? No there's a handful of guys running the upgraded one

whiddles 07-03-2014 02:42 PM

well if i stay with this kit ill look at the upgrade. can you send me a link?

ANMVQ 07-03-2014 02:45 PM

Sure here man, If I go back to their kit first thing I'd buy again I wont even install their kit with theirs.

I really don't mean to be rude here or anything but you are posting information that is only going to be misleading the conversation and confusing people.

An O ring is in reference to the general shape of the gasket. The gasket is round...in the shape of an O...O rings can come in various finishes where the actual shape will vary. Sometimes the O ring is round:
Attachment 90798

Other times the O ring has shoulders which make it square:
Attachment 90799

A google images showed some different styles of O rings:
Attachment 90800

Just like there can be such thing as a V6 or an inline 6. A V6 uses a V shaped block and inline 6 puts all the cylinders in a straight line.

ANMVQ 07-03-2014 03:00 PM

Hey Kyle you and I have travelled this road before so well just agree to disagree , But misleading is saying this "The O rings included in the supercharger kit are square, not round" and not the fact that I posted pictures.

Just sounds like double talk to me. :/
