What's the benefit of putting a thermal coating on your intercooler? I thought the point of thermal coating was to keep the heat in, hence why people put them on turbo components and headers. Wouldn't that negate the purpose of having an intercooler (heat exchanger)?

Is this a different type of coating?

It is a different type of coating that improve heat dissipation and makes the set up stealthier so you get the look and the performance . the coating you are talking about for the turbo components and headers is the ceramic coating witch will keep the heat in .

You can be helped Vegitto-kun! We plan ECE approval for the GTM supercharger kit - contact me if seriously interested.

I doubt ECE matters here in belgium.

twin turbo/ supercharger setups here never get through the checkup and get redflagged atleast that is what my father and the dealer said

ECE matters in any country of the european community - if we can pass it through german TUV I doubt Belgium wouldn't accept it. But wasn't Belgium the "Wild West" for tuning in Europe? With the stealth look of the GTM kit they might not even notice the difference (imagine the piping powder coated black!)

I think the netherlands is more the tuning country.

We have ******** at the car check places.

I mean they redflag cars for the slightest thing.

but yeah I still would need to find a place that could put it on the car and as we al know you need good guys haha. the kit isn't for one of these days. First I need to be able to controll the damn thing with its stock power haha but yeah I AM interested

It's illegal here as well no matter how many certifications and stickers you put on it

You just have to know the right people and not attract unwanted attention on the roads
