Default Cog (timing) vs. V-Groove Pulley

Has anyone attempted using Cog pulleys and belt for driving the supercharger from the jackshaft? Since slippage seems to be an issue, and tightening the belt to levels where it's causing bearing failure, would converting to a Cog pulley/belt setup not be a better idea?

And yes... I searched the forum first and couldn't find anything.

I know a lot of superchargers, although roots style, are driven by cog belt/pulley setups.

Thoughts?

Try the Gates K080220RPM belt. I haven't had any belt slip since using it and my car was making 17 psi. Cog systems can be hard on the bearings too. Vortech recommends only using their cog system on the H/D series blowers.
