The green meanies are pushing everyone into electric cars. Think the grid is weak now. Just wait. And they are shutting down power plants. The electric bill is going through the roof.

They always seem to ignore that the power generation is mostly driven by gas generators.

Is that why you didn't come to my Birthday Tofu BBQ Party?

Wasn't there some talk about CARB too? :stirthepot:

CARB is still the plan. Most people do not realize the cost to getting CARB. its $$$ and even then there are alot of stipulations and rules. RJM also has to supply a completely stock car with the whipple for testing which could take months...

Tell me about it. When the tester rejects the kit because the vaccuum line used for the bov doesn't have the latest and greatest sae vapor retention rating. Fml on carb only way stillen gets kits through is because they are in the system already. It 10's of thousands of dollars for a company to have its first kit certified. Oh and cold starts a bitch with anything over 600cc/min injectors. That's why gtm never got their kit certified yet stillen did. Smaller injectors in the stillen carb kit are for cold starts also why it is such a **** tune out of the box to meet emissions.

Your right on the cost and difficulty to get past carb but 1050x injector cold starts are oem like. There is no issue with using 1050 injectors. Stillen use of smaller injectors were cost related.

A slight update from brad: he has a stage 1 kit with upgraded heat exchanger. He is also running a 11psi pulley. Please note these are not final nor close to final numbers. This dyno session was to gauge where he stood so that they could keep pushing the tuning. With more high rpm logging he will be over 500whp on a stock 7at. Once his supporting mods go in he will push it even further.

This is the nice thing about this kit... it’s scalable without any kind of rebuild.

That's good if he is happy. The owner doesn't have to justify anything.

Spooler 03-24-2019 12:01 PM

This kit will never pass CARB. That's just the flat out truth. You guys in Cali are just done for.

They have a really good tuner working with them on the CARB certification. If they have the funds, they'll get certification.Me personally, I don't care about CARB, I just don't want that thing sticking out of my hood like that.

He has had a lot of people try to troll him... he knows these aren’t final numbers and he is just trying to be clear with people since he knows he isn’t pushing the kit. He is afraid people are going to bad mouth his build because he posted some in progress numbers.

How is that? You have the designs for the kit?

LOL, it has nothing to do with that at all. It is all political. That is why it won't
pass. They will tie you up and spend all your money until you go away.
