Introducing the RJM Positive Displacement Supercharger Kit!

1 Attachment(s)
Introducing the RJM Supercharger Kit. This is a Pre-Order and Order List Record. RJM has asked me to keep track of it here for you guys and to open the offer for you to join the Pre-Order. But before we get into all that I wanted to go into some details of the kit:

The RJM Supercharger kit is a twin screw positive displacement supercharger with a capacity of 2.9L. This means for every rotation of the screws 2.9L of air is forced into the plenum. What this means is you have instant boost 100% of the time. The Stage 1 kits start at 12 psi which equate to approximately 500+Wheel HP and 400+Ftlbs of Torque on demand. As seen below you will notice you have an instant torque curve that is flat and a linear power band all the way to red line:

http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1527202927
*Dyno completed in Tampa Florida in 98* weather. Stock block and stock 7at Transmission. Noted mods are stillen headers, tomei y Pipe and Amuse exhaust. Also completed on a "heart breaker" dyno.

The power delivery of this kit is perfect for the light weight of our cars. Stage 1 kits can be run on Stock components and is designed to allow the kit to grow with the user without having to replace major components. However, it is suggested for 6mt owners to upgrade their clutches and 7at owners to upgrade their transmissions (RJM has an option better and cheaper than level 10 for 7at owners). Given that the stock block is limited to approximately 500-550ftlbs the stage 1 kit is designed to stay under those limits. If you want more power there are options to go Stage 1.5 and Stage 2 for big power. The Supercharger Core itself is a whipple W175AX Gen3 and has already proven to hit 1200+whp on other platforms @ around 26psi. So needless to say we have room to grow unlike other super charger kits on the market.

Here is a flyer from Zdayz 2018:

Awesome! Been a long time coming but the wait is finally over!

Korstix 06-10-2018 05:50 AM

Being "turnkey", does it not come with a base tune?

Well my car isn't ready yet. I was saying that about the kit being done. Honestly I don't care what Happens with the hood. I'll just be happy to have the car back finally

Yes it will. However, it is highly recommended that you get a custom tune. Everyone’s car and setup is different. But you should be good to drive around on the base tune.

Just driveable to the tuner was my concern. Thanks!

You can drive on it just fine. The Car at Zdayz had a base tune on it and we were romping on it for people.

Hey Guys I am looking for a manual transmission car to put a kit on in July. PM me if your interested. So far all our pre-orders are auto cars. Which is surprising!

EZT 06-13-2018 02:11 PM

Bullitt, will the Hood cowl fit an AMS style hood, with the vents?

Yes it will. The hood cowl design will be in a way to fit on any stock profile "strake" hood. meaning if the hood design was based on a OEM profile the hood cowl will fit without issue.

EZT 07-09-2018 12:36 PM

How’s the cowl coming along?

B&W_Evader 07-09-2018 02:37 PM

More importantly... How's the CARB coming along?

Update: RJM is wrapping up production of the first 10 kits next week or so. Kits will be going out by the end of the month.

bullitt5897 07-24-2018 08:53 AM

Lots of updates and progress on the pre-order kits. RJM has a few cars getting full builds done on site. An AWD sedan and rich’s car going full stage 2. All the parts have been ordered. Production should be finished in a week or two. Then packaging up and shipping everything out. The two long lead items haven’t come in yet (heat exchanger and whipple core) RJM is talking about drop shipping those directly from Bell and whipple to make sure people get them as soon as they are done.

The new intake collector drastically reduces the supercharger foot print through the hood. A hood cowl for 370z, g37 coupe and sedan is underway. RJM has partnered with Synergy Composites to make the hood cowl.

On a side note Shawn of Synergy Composites has been dealt some horrific news last week and could use everyone’s support. His wife had a miscarriage on Friday and it was their first child. So please if your on Facebook please reach out and support where you can. There are a few fundraisers as well.

Thanks!

Mike

Been working with synergy composites this week on the plug for the mold. It’s expected to be done by the end of the week. Once we have a prototype I will post up pics. We are getting close.

On another note there are 4 supercharger kits on the shelf ready to ship. Let me know if you want one!

Any word on the rim auto trans? So far I've seen the kit going in autos and 1 manual, my main concern is my trans...and a little unfinished business

The auto trans is done and is in several cars now. If you want one hit up RJM.

For the hood questions I partnered with synergy composites to make the cowl. It’s currently in prototyping phase. As soon as the final prototype is done I will post pics.

Thanks sir, let us know. There are quite a few that won't touch the kit until there's a good hood option.

For us following along:

1. The kit is supplied by RJM;You are keeping track of forum orders/questions on their behalf
2. A Hood cowl is not included in RJM kit;
3. A hood cowl option is being pursued in a separate collaboration between you and Synergy Composites

Is RJM not pursuing a hood cowl to be included with the kit? Will that be the customers' responsibility (with your/S.C. option available)?

bullitt5897 09-20-2018 12:43 PM

1. Yes you are correct.
2. The base kit price does not include the hood cowl. However, RJM may stock a few. It will be orderable as an option directly from RJM.
3. This is a collab between: myself, rjm and synergy

bullitt5897 09-20-2018 05:11 PM

so an update:

Trey just wrapped up his initial tuning session today. Trey is running the stage 1 kit with a simple pulley and fuel upgrade (making it a stage 1.5). Making nearly 700whp @16psi on e85 on a 6mt. The car has more in it but the tires would not hook on the dyno. The car made over 500ftlbs+ at 2k rpms!!!!

Note that the car is still on a stock motor. Transmission is upgraded with a triple disk clutch and he is running a quaife 2 way.

More info pictures and video on this car later.

lj909 09-21-2018 10:23 AM

Hey bullitt, I know it's no small thing but could you comment on CARB approval? I know there's a process to go through. Has the process even been started?

Really liking this kit
