Preparation for the STILLEN supercharger

So my dealership wants to know, will the Stillen SC kit be sold at the dealerships. The manager told me if i end up getting the kit and let them use it as a show car for a few days they will give me $1000 towards my payments.

We have been selling to dealerships across North America for many, many years. We actually have a division of the company who only handles dealer sales.

This post probably won't suffice some people but it is what it is for now.

Obviously Josh and I are in the marketing department here at STILLEN. Just like any other vendor on this forum, our primary job is to sell. However, we do so through facts, data, and experience that we gather from our engineers, Steve Millen, and our designers. I'm not going to sit here and try to tell anyone that either Josh or I have had a hand in the engineering of the kit. Steve and our engineer's value the opinion of the sales and marketing staff because they recognize that we are the ones talking directly to you guys but I'm not going to pretend like I'm tuning the car or Josh engineered the intake manifold.

In regards to the people who think I'm just spewing out sales pitch after sales pitch. I apologize. That is not what I'm trying to do. In my opinion, the sales pitch starts when the press release is posted. To date I have not promised any horsepower levels, we have not mentioned any price tags, and we have not mentioned any specifics about the kit. All of that will be in the press release.

Stormcrow- You ask good questions, and they will be answered in due time. When we begin selling these kits you will know the most vital facts:

Horsepower output
Boost pressure
Price
Shipping date
And More

We won't announce any of this information seperate from each other because we want to make sure that everyone expects the same things. We are getting phone calls and emails daily from people who are saying "take my card...just charge my card..." We are not going to do that until we can offer the customer all of the necessary information.

Josh and I are extremely proud of this supercharger kit and all of the great products that are coming out of our R&D department lately. We really enjoy talking about these things because we see the testing and engineering going into them.

And I do understand the reasons why the dyno was posted, even before the press release and the final numbers are in. Lead generation is a key in marketing a product. I honestly just wish that vendors would not do this as there might be a lot of disappointed people in the end if the production release doesn't match the proposed release. But, that is not for me to worry with. You are certainly not the only vendor to do this and most certainly will not be the last, so some leeway is in order.

BTW, in the fray I have forgotten to ask. Will you guys be running in the Redline series this year?

It is our goal to be running in the Time Attack series this year. I'm not sure what car we will be using this year or which events we'll be attending but yes, we do plan on attending some of the events with a car. To be honest, I don't think our Z racer car will be 100% ready until next year. We are working on a lot of parts that won't be ready for this years series and I don't want to rush them.

Ok, so basically you're saying that Stillen is focusing pretty heavily on the 370 and will be developing alot of aftermarket options for us?

Any word on which class you might be entering? Modified or Unlimited?

I did get the opportunity to see the GT-R last year when I was at Autoclub. (last race of the RTA) It would have been nice to see it run. I know you guys have the GT-R in a different series...more of the road racing efforts...so I am doubtful I'll be seeing that one play. Unless....?

That should be interesting in the Z or GTR with Steve driving. Time Attack has been the latest fad for a while now and win or loose that would be good for you guys considering the magazine coverage. It might bring about some new/good parts too, I hope you use the Z lol.

They just want your car for joyrides and test pilots to make them money.
