Keep in mind if you plan on purchasing the CARB legal supercharger then replacing the cats could and most likely will cause the car to fail inspection.

Kyle,

Thanks for your response. I plan on keeping the car CARB legal - good for the future of everyone so I'll just evaluate cat-back exhausts.

Cheers,
Kevin

Why not get a HFC or test pipe and do the swap come emissions time?

Kyle: don't know when you said you were leaving town but can you tell us what different set-up's you plan on trying when doing all of this testing... I am just wondering if you are going to be using any stillen parts? I guess the big thing for me is if I am going to be able to use any of the crap that I have bought and installed on my car or if I am going to have to sell it all when/if I get the S/C....

Crap? It's crap now? :bowrofl:

We will be testing different setups, and will be utilizing STILLEN components with tunes, etc. Stay tuned for more information. :)

StillenZ 02-11-2010 06:48 PM

lol lol... my bad... didn't mean to make it sound like that, but technically....YA (it will be crap when it takes up my time having to try to sell it)... I mean, this freakin thread is having me thinking/hoping that once I get the S/C installed I won't care or even worry about the old parts cause I'll be too busy trying to find traction in my Z! Just give me that and were good....this freakin forum is killing me... I just need to delete my account til like April so I can see some results... feelin a little depressed over here

RCZ 02-12-2010 02:16 PM

longer it takes the more time i have to save ;)

370Zsteve 02-12-2010 02:27 PM

Speaking of saving, has anything resembling pricing come out yet? Ballpark even?

Josh@STILLEN 02-12-2010 02:38 PM

Pricing should be out soon.. dialing everything in now..

m4a1mustang 02-12-2010 02:48 PM

What is soon?

370Zsteve 02-12-2010 02:49 PM

Soon is relative.

Doubt it.. GTM said a long time ago what price range they are aiming to complete the kit within..

It's likely that Stillen just hasn't crunched the numbers yet to determine what would be a resonable price and are probably waiting to finish dynos before determining what they can reasonably ask for with a kit like this.

Josh@STILLEN 02-12-2010 05:38 PM

We'll have pricing as soon as everything is finalized, we're working costing out now, and working to keep the price as low as possible.

On a side note.. Two members of the Vortech team stopped by the other day to take a look at our Supercharger kit. One member of their engineering staff and one member of their sales/marketing staff spent about 5 hours with us and they are very excited about what they saw!

They also reviewed with us how flexible and upgradeable the blower is we have designed into our kit. We are all looking forward to bringing this kit to market!

RCZ 02-12-2010 06:54 PM

^you big tease

Josh@STILLEN 02-12-2010 07:12 PM

lol! Sorry about that.. us marketing guys are chomping at the bit to get some info out to you guys.. won't be long now..

Buddy Revell 02-12-2010 07:36 PM

Thanks, Josh. I really wanna know how many more pennies I need to save before stepping up to forced induction.

It is very unlikely that you are right. Any good business does this up front to know if the project is even viable. While some things can change during the development process, I bet they are a few hundred within their initial estimate.

Within budget doesn't mean you have the final price.

I'll be waiting for GTM and Stillen to come out with their kit.
Then look at price, components and results. Before I'll make up my mind.

Unlike everyone else who paid $100,000 each and installed invisible parts? :icon17:

Instead of worrying about getting the price now until everything else from both Stillen and GTM is ready...

SeeyaBud86 02-15-2010 02:12 PM

Josh or Kyle- (a little off topic)

Any word on the roof spoiler and rear spoiler?

S/C kit sounds like its coming along nicely.

Josh@STILLEN 02-15-2010 02:30 PM

Actually they are finished and available. We're putting the PR stuff together, and getting them added to the website.

StillenZ 02-15-2010 06:01 PM

Nice... might have to work that into a package deal! (Along with a carbon fiber hood!)

How close is the fascia? I am very interested in seeing how the heat exchanger and added cooling fits.

StillenZ 02-15-2010 07:33 PM

liquid Z - I believe he was answering this question when he posted the sentence that u just quoted:

Actively being worked on.. and yes, building bracketry and things to accomodate coolers and heat exchangers and the works.

I don't have a timeline just yet.. Will post more when we're closer to release.

StillenZ 02-15-2010 07:46 PM

can't freakin wait!

Z eliminator 02-16-2010 07:59 PM

Josh, how much does the rear spoiler cost/ I think that it looks great. How is it attached to the hatch of the car . Mine is a sports model.
