Gtm supercharger issue

Someone with more technical knowledge can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure the supercharger location requirement is only for *new* rotrex superchargers. Old (ie from GTM

Old (ie from GTM days) Rotrex superchargers used a different seal that did not have this requirement. This seal is no longer available and the replacement part Rotrex is using has this requirement. I imagine if you purchase a new Rotrex supercharger for an old GTM kit you will have this issue.
