AAM VQ37 Twin Turbo Kit!

Hey everyone!

Just like I wrote on our website, we had a couple of goals in mind designing our VQ37 Twin Turbo Kit, goals I can confidently say we've achieved: Create a twin turbo kit with the best blend of street/daily driving power, reliability, and drivability. We wanted to add performance without sacrificing the luxury and comfort of the G37 and 350Z HR – give the vehicle and you, the driver, the power Nissan and Infiniti should have supplied.

We've got a ton of VQ37 products in development and I'll keep everyone updated as we progress

For more info check out the AAM Twin Kit Website or email / PM me.

$10K for a this kind of quality TT kit is a bergain. You do understand this kit is for the VQ engine, not a 4 cyl honda engine, right?

I agree!!! The kit is $10,495.00 INSTALLED!!! Everything you need to add over 100+whp. And with just a couple extra modifications (exhaust, boost controller etc) 200+whp.

crazy-yogi 01-10-2009 10:40 AM

The kit looks amazing, the price tag is extremely reasonable as well for a kit that is installed in-house and tuned. That to me is worth the price right there.

Coming from a completely custom fabricated turbo kit (with many headaches in the process) it would be a dream to drop off the car, come back in a few weeks and have it ready with a quality result. Good work guys!

Slidefox 01-17-2009 11:13 PM

I can't wait to see JT tune one of these!!

tvfreakazoid 01-18-2009 09:57 PM

that seems a little pricey. For that kind of price it should get closer to 200whp.
What is the psi set at to get 100+hp?
Nice g37 set up. How much hp gain did the G get?:icon14:

RCZ 01-18-2009 11:14 PM

Its hard to justify at $10k without knowing what comes in it...

3SeventyZ 01-19-2009 08:16 AM

I hear about AAM from time to time.
Pretty much right down the street from my office.
Might swing by sometime soon with the 370 for some work.

Nice g37 set up. How much hp gain did the G get?:icon14:

G37 AUTOMATIC: 418whp @ 6psi (3" Exhaust)

G37 6sp
: 400whp @ 7psi (2.5" HFCs, STOCK Exhaust - will make similar power to the NISMO with Exhaust and Boost Controller)

NISMO HR: 474whp @ 9psi, 448whp @ 7psi (Boost Control, 3" Turbo Back Exhaust)

The basic parts you'll need to go from a 100whp to a 200whp increase are : boost controller, basic fuel system (1:1 FPR), 3" downpipes and 3" or 2.5" exhaust.

The kits are frame interchangeable. We offer turbos good for 550hp, 700+hp, 800+hp. The bigger turbos still spool fast (3.7L Helps!) and will yield more power at a lower boost. So if you have long-term higher HP expectations, and don't mind a little bit of lag (full boost at +/- 3k rpm), we can always install the larger turbos.

Haha $10,495 is a great price. I don't think many of you are factoring how much labor costs. I'm just unsure about the intercooler. Looks like the front bumper covers up a large portion of the surface area.

I Agree.

G&M Performance 01-21-2009 11:54 AM

Lets see here... The ECU will get a custom tune that will keep the car SAFE and reliable, but will re-tuning the ECU cost extra when you want to add more boost later on down the road? Probably so, right?

Unfortunately, I think that may pose to be a problem because MOST people can't datalog and send you the ECU's file to rewrite for a tune that better matches the increase in PSI. Not to mention, they will not be able to download or upload the file into their ECU anyway. :ughdance: To me, what that means is that they will have to go back to your shop, have you do your thing, then go home with the changes. Unfortunately, that is not a good option for people that are many miles away from D.C.

Also, what about a wideband? Being a turbo veteran, I know that this is a MUST if you want to really be able to monitor anything fuel related. Plus something that can monitor knock, etc. would be great.

Other than that, your parts do look great and I am sure your work is top notch. Aside from the flaws that I mentioned, maybe you guys can work on making a tool that will allow us to make changes to the ECU's tuning table? Just look at SCT or Diablosport and see what they've done for many happy customers!

tvfreakazoid 01-22-2009 03:39 AM

Yea that would kind of suck.

Ummm... that's what they make boost controllers for.

bboypuertoroc 05-06-2009 03:24 AM

Kit looks nice Clint. How much is the kit minus install and tune?

Does a 3" exhaust (vs. 2.5) really explain the big difference here? Extra pound, yet making 18 fewer horses. The mt should also have slightly less drivetrain loss.

shabarivas 05-07-2009 12:37 PM

The MT is also on a stock exhaust... w/ turbos... an exhaust makes the hugest difference... stock ones are restrictive carb legal pieces of poo

Brazilbro 05-07-2009 09:42 PM

is this turbo kit ready yet? why doesnt the site work?

jmlenz 06-23-2009 01:15 AM

has this kit been installed/tuned on a 370 yet?

Weird how 370s have been on the road for about 7-8 months (G37 even longer) and still we have yet to see a 370TT roll the streets. Seems like when the 350Z came out there were a slew of kits within a couple months...hmm...the wait is killing me!

k20z3 06-23-2009 01:40 AM

yay clint, its me clint and you rock!

So does this mean the kits are ready to go now?

Mike@Blackline 07-29-2009 09:44 PM

that truly is a steal considering labor is installed. hell id say it was a good deal without labor.

Yes, it is good to go NOW!!!

It is in-house install only because we make custom exhaust mainfold for our system and other parts that 370Z might need to make 100-200whp increase!!!
Like battlewagon says, it is a GREAT deal for the money.
Our system is unique because it is upgradeable, not like others in the market!!!

Please visit our website:

Thank you!

I think its the weather... It started acting up on Friday right after the rain storm/s...

How are things with your car?
I know you sent me a pm about the tire rubbing...
You might want to think about raising your car 1/2 inch to an inch because this area roads are horrible...
Come by the shop, and give me a ride. I want to see how BC coils are compare to my MonoFlex.
